Take The Titanic Union Rail In Wild West Exodus!
March 5, 2013 by brennon
Wild West Exodus is still gunning down Kickstarter like an escaped bandit and one of its big previews of late has been for the Union Rail Set. Check out just how big this kit is going to be...
This set features a 5.5'' tall main cart and will also come with tracks with more being available for order later on down the line. So if you really want to produce a massive objective for an epic game of WWX this should be your pick!
The train will be rolling out in October but you can get it as part of the Kickstarter for less.
What do you think of a massive Wild West Exodus train set?
Toot Toot, I’m aboard!!! But I bet you guessed that with all the spamming in the WWX news thread 😛 hehe Sorry
These guys are really giving out a ton of stuff compared to what you pay for in the pledge. There is some EB Repulsive’s left. These give you approx 66% off of the retail value and it still has 13 days to go, so more stuff will be added for free 😀
Now that looks like a great idea! 28mm scale train would be awesome.
The models are 35mm so the train should be a little bit bigger scale wise. That doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be great as a freckin’ huge train in 28mm anyway lol.

$160 on the kick-starter, $225 thereafter, but we need to reach $200,000 to unlock it. $15,000 off at present, with $10,000 sat unclaimed on the best Early Bird (Repulsive) and 7 people who bought the normal version!!! 😛 hehe
The previous machines have had a good flavour of 19th century US design about them but this looks too futuristic. It looks good for other games but paradoxically less so for WWE imho
Could see it as a Leviathan bit of kit for Mantic’s Forge Fathers for example
What bothers me is the wheels look like taken off a modern locomotive – no giant flywheels, no force distributing rods … all the stuff that makes running gear on a steam locomotive so cool.
Yeah they do look a bit modern day I guess. Maybe need some sticky-outy-bits 😛 hehe
How you doing anyway Lucas? Hope you have been doing some nice work!! 🙂
Hey man, not for some time (exams), but tomorrow, I’m on it again (can’t let that KS wait just on me! 😀 ).
Indeed, They have the video up now that I have been asking for. Just need a chance to watch it. 🙂 Think I have time though. What is your name on KS?
@Chibi, A few people have said that it is to futuristic, but I think it looks quite nice. With a old and worn metallic paint job I think it would look very fitting. But then again, I have nothing else to compare it with.
I think they have been influenced too much by German WW2 armoured tanks and put a spin on that. The Turrets are not so far off the Panzer IV type. IMHO they could have looked to some naval designs of the times, with iron clads having drum turrets.
I think it looks fine but doesn’t fit the aesthetic of the other machines in the range.
But I won’t be buying so who cares what I think lol I guess I would have preferred something more steampunk than futuristic or maybe steamdiesel.
I guess if anything it maybe the front point that may be a little off then? Perhaps if it was more square fronted like the Heavy Support Vehicles it would blend better?
imho it is partly that but the strong diagonal and the angled upper rear section
It has a sort of Bat-train feel.
Guess I have just seen too much Hoppalong Cassidy movies and am stuck thinking along these sorts of lines:

LOL, that one would be HANDY……………………… You asked for that one 🙂
It is well ARMoured
LOL, Looks like an ARMY train…………………. You asked for that one to. 🙂
I’m not a big fan of some of the WWX stuff but I’d happily pick this up for Warmachine terrain and then even think about building scenarios around it. I reckon it could happily be painted up in Cygnar or Khador colours.
Thats a good idea matey. I think Cygnar would look quite nice
