Strange Aeons are set to release a Cthuloid piece of terrain this August. The Crypt of Cthulhu.
I have to say I'm not overly excited by this piece. Although it could make a nice piece on wargaming tables it is definitely not a highlight of the Strange Aeons' range of miniatures which includes such models as these guys.
What do you guys think of the crypt? Would it be a welcome addition to your Cthulhu based gaming?

It looks like cake icing. mmmm Cthulhu caeke. Also if you are playing Cthulhu games with miniatures you are doing it wrong.
Lovecraft-inspired skirmish game. It’s definitely about killing monsters/slaying good guys, but the recent expansions have campaign things. Draws from a few pulp flavours, the new expansion involves some kind of dinosaur island romp. Check out Anatoli’s Game Room (blog), he has some fun posts on the game.
Cthulhu cake – ummm – tentacle filled goodness 🙂
I think it’s okay, but I’d expect something a bit more subtle, some eldritch runes or something on it, not an advertisement for fishy evil – what is it with Lovecraft and seafood anyway? I read he wasn’t fond of it, but to turn it into mankind’s doom personified is a bit much – he must have got some really bad squid 🙁

Strange Aeons is such an awesome game :)! i get too play with the maker of the game every sunday and its a great time!. Defo cant wait for the Cult based new rule set too come out the free download beta of it is pretty cool!.
Defo love the games feel as you fight for your life or fight to defeat the threshold humans >:D!. cant wait for more models too come, the new Goul King is a defo buy on my list :D!
