Infinity Week 2013 – Starts Monday!
June 28, 2013 by lloyd
It doesn't seem like it's been long since we brought you the last Infinity week but now it's time to prepare yourself for INFINITY WEEK 2013!
That's right, another fun packed week of Infinity goodness kicks off on Monday July 1st 2013 here on Beasts of War. To whet your appetite watch the teaser above. What are you looking forwards to seeing?
woohoo
Will there be tons of prizes and great deals?
I would like to see detailed battle reports and rule explanations 🙂
Doubly seconded (fourthed?). Going through the rulebook I get lost in a sea of acronyms.
I’m also remembering building metal models. Supergluing fingers together with child like hands wasn’t fun. Doing the same with the great spades I have now would be even less.
Metal models quality varies from company to company, you will find CB’s been one of the best out there.
They are insanely fiddly though. Gluing the Daikini bots is still something I’d not recommend to my worst enemy, same with those ***** panoceanian tiny antennas. Some of it got improved apparently, but a lot of those models still are there.
I for one drew my first blood on an Infinity model due to my stupidity and them being metal. I glued a body of a dogman? (I think thats what they call them) together wrong. I tried to remove the old glue and stabbed my thumb with my rat tail file. Man was I ever pissed off! I backed away from doing the rest for the day as I’m sure I would have smashed them with a hammer out of frustration LOL.
If you don’t already have a bottle of super glue activator spray then I can’t recommend it enough.
I am really sxcited on this can’t wait to see whats in store.
Also this is the first the first time we see Oznat!
Awesome timing since the remaining models for my 150pt Ariadna list just showed up today. I have no idea if it will be any good but every model looks awesome!
I really hope that the Infinity week is where we will see the rest of the interview with Carlos because the talk about the shift from traditional to 3d sculpting was super interesting 😀
What are those pictured in the banner?!?
The mighty Morat – one of the alien spiecies in the Combined Army.
Sweet
The last Infinity week on here got me into the game. Lets hope this one encourages more players to take up this system.
Just got the rule book for Father’s Day. Had a great demo game at salute and picked up Aleph and combined army starters and a couple of blisters to play with my son abs mates. . Just finished building all the models and have put together sons Bandua and Warmill scenery so really looking to this! Still building some microarts bits and pieces and also have the Aleph Penthesilea on order from Wayland as its just such a great model.
Will this themed week actually contain its namesake?
What do you mean ?
It’ll have Infinity content, it’ll be a week, and it’ll be in 2013…
Well technically one article would constitute content. Saying that, if it was like the best article ever released, then that would suffice, quality over quantity i say.
Er… Yeah ?
When have we ever done a week with no content related to the theme ?
I don’t get it.
Its namesake? Infinity? As in infinite? If you are hoping for:
in·fin·i·ty
/inˈfinitē/
Noun
1. The state or quality of being infinite.
2. An infinite or very great number or amount.
If so, you may well be disapointed!
Well there have been a few comments about the eldar week and the fact it wasn’t well received by some people, just hoping it isn’t the same with the infinity week. Savvy?
Don’t get me wrong, i personally enjoyed the eldar week, was merely a light hearted dig, tongue in cheek in fact.
I will let you compare the “news” and the new stuff that was out for Eldars, both in fluff and gameplay, and the new stuff that’s out for Infinity, then… 😉
New to Beasts of War website ( typical Yank’ late to the party) and have been Warhammer and 40k player/painter for 13 years… I am becoming more and more tempted by Infinity mainly because the minis are beautiful (and metal) and would love to put a brush on them. I am a large collector of Artizan (WW2 and thrilling tales) minis for that single reason. Is infinity the way to go now with all my hate for resin-cast minis? Appreciate any input. AND I LOVE THE LATEST INFINITY VIDEO ON YOUTUBE WITH THE STUDIO MINIS….. reeling me in…
Your never late for the party @mikepatrick13.
Now its time for cake 😀
I’m torn here. I’m a bit “oh gawds, here’s another game to suck off* all my money and free time” and a bit “whoo Infinity, this looks the dog’s danglies”.
* one for @warzan there
Well.. an advantage of the system is that it is so cheap to start, and the rules are downloadable for free.
And even if you don’t play the game I think these are some of the best miniatures in the industry right now, and an absolute joy to paint.
I can’t argue with that. Almost every new mini I see is jaw-dropping [points at the chicks-on-bikes] [drools]
Is that artwork in the video or are they sneeks of figures?
YEAH ! Guys, preorder for the Infinity Artbook is up 1st june, check their website/shop for details now ! Looking forward ffor Inifinity week ! Hope they show new stuff and reveal some of their plans for the future. Artbook is a great idea, since their Art is top notch and it will help to immerse even more ! I am a little bit sad because they stopped their habbit of showing all new stuff at once between 16th and 22nd of a month. Now it drips down form different sources like Miniwargaming, where its hidden in this mostly boring… Read more »
Thanks for the heads up. I’m a sucker for a good art book and I’ve always liked the manga-influenced style of the Infinity art. I’m totally going to pre-order that on Monday!
BTW the new stuff is up on their webshop !
Superb! Infinity for the Win! One of the best games on the market, not without its faults, but still one of the best. Can’t wait!
I like the look of the terrain on the table, Hoping for a close up of some of that
They feel like have the Artbook, to see what else will this new Infinity Week.
As a feature of Infinity week I’d like to see some exploration of Advanced Tactics as well as some great “How to Videos” or links to the Corvus Belli Tutorials. Infinity has a high learning curve but once you’re there it’s the best game around!
More Infinity coverage is always good!
Great video, makes me interested in the game!
I assume that this artbook will not only show existing models, we will probably get a hint of what is to come….I can’t wait to preview the new model concept sketches….
yeah free prizes!!!
The art and art direction of infinity sure is its strong point. Looking forward to this.
Bring it, big fan!
