Someone Spies The New Dropzone Commander Faction!
August 18, 2013 by brennon
Thanks to Tabletop Fix and Piperider361 we have spied these images of the new faction for Dropzone Commander from Gen Con this year. What do you think of the Human Resistance?
The Human Resistance seem to have re-purposed a whole lot of vehicles from the Human world and made them into killing machines. Trucks, buses and all manner of vehicles appear to have been used to try and combat the enemy incursion.
How they are going to work as a faction right now I don't know but they will most likely not rely on dropships as much as the other factions.
What do you make of them?

These do look awesome. might have to take a closer look when they get released.
I do like the old-fashioned car look. The faction itself looks great. I can see some very nice freehand/texturing opportunities on there. But it might appear a bit odd next to the futuristic designs of the other factions. The invasion did happen somewhere in our future, didn’t it?
Now this I do like. The post-apocalypse look will appeal to lot of people.
But there are no drop-ships to command.
I see the word “monorail” on a label there. I like the sound of that.
I saw a interview with him about the Monorail I guess its to be used in certain missions or scenarios. From what he said it will be like a moving objective or a force will have to get the objective of it. Here is a link to the interview, the part about the Monorail starts around 31:10.

im sure theres another pic with the monorail in it you can only see the track in these ones its about 3 cars long
I hope this Resistance is not futile 😀
Given the new plastic models included in the soon-to-be-released starter set, I am hoping that more DZC stuff will be produced in plastic in order to bring the price down. That’ll really help push the game, I think.
These are defenetly different compared to what other factions get so far. These guys might be as low tech as they seem to be based on those.
