Space Marine Heavy Armour Rolls Out of Horus Heresy History
September 20, 2012 by brennon
It seems even more goodies are going to be on offer when Forge World take to the stand at Games Day UK this weekend. Check out these armoured behemoths rolling onto a battlefield near you, if you have the cash of course!
A selection of other nice things are also on offer and you can see them all by visiting the Games Day UK event page on the Forge World website. Fans of the Horus Heresy and historical armies within the world of Warhammer 40,000 are going to be in their element.
Would you pick either of these tanks up?

Typhon seems to be Land Raider armed with Demolisher Cannon or similar weapon. Its nice that Fellblade backs lot of firepower. I wonder are those twin cannons that it has in turret Battle Cannons and are they twin-linked or seperate.
I think that might be bigger than a Demolisher cannon. Looks similar to some of the baneblade variant weapons(doomhammer?) besides Demolisher cannon land raiders are already covered by the Ares which IMO looks much cooler.
What I dont understand with pre-heresy tanks is why the tank treads are blank surfaces. The pivot joints are the only things making contact with the ground. @johnlyons could you help me understand with your wise tank knowledge.
They’re trying to tie them into the original late 1980s land raider model, the actual utility of the track plates takes a back seat(or possibly hides somewhere in the trailer) to the nostalgic call-back to that kit.
it was basically the same with WW1 tanks see :

awsome massive guns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The guy in the rear hatch is too wide to fit inside, and would not actually be able to manoeuvre into the main tank, I know it only a toy tank, but come FW
To be fair that has been an issue with SM tanks since 1st edition 🙂
Is it bad seeing the Fellblade almost as like a Dalek? ^^; Side from that it’s a nice looking model-though my interests are for the terminators they’re selling 😀
jagdpanther springs to mind when I look at the siege tank
I like GW vehicles, but I personally would like to see them about a third smaller, so you could fit all of them on the table better.
