May 25, 2011 by beerogre
Here's some pretty pictures we received form the guys and gals in THQ showing the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine box art and the rather spiffy looking Collector’s Edition.
Also they where kind enough to send through juicy details of what you get with the Collector’s Edition or a pre-order:
- The Emperor’s Elite Pack, only available at Gamestop, includes the unique Space Wolves and Black Templar chapter armor skins
- For players who prefer the nefarious forces of Chaos, The Traitor Legion Pack includes the complete armor sets for the Iron Warriors and Emperor’s Children and is only available at Best Buy.
- The Golden Relic Chainsword, the primary close combat weapon for Space Marines, is only available at Amazon.com
- The Golden Relic Bolter, a powerful ranged combat weapon, is only available at Walmart.
- PC Gamers can celebrate their love of the Dawn of War® series by donning themselves in the iconic red and bone colored armor of the Blood Ravens Chapter as well as receiving a FREE copy of Darksiders on PC when they pre-order the PC game through Steam.
- PC Gamers also have the choice of pre-ordering their copy of Space Marine through THQ’s E-Store to get an exclusive PowerSword weapon for multiplayer.
- Finally PC Gamers who choose to buy a digital copy of Space Marine through select digital retailers will be offered a FREE copy of Darksiders on PC.

Oh wow, and well priced too.
Looks pretty sweet! Hopefully the game will be half decent or anywhere near as good as DoW…
I think you meant revealed not ‘relieved’ in the title btw 🙂
Good spot… have +5 Karma!
I’ve been trying to get into our site to correct that little faux-pas, but there’s so many of you on our site it’s all moving like treacle!
Not that I’m complaining of course. 😉
Oooo! Nice! I wonder if us poor Europeans will get any love?
So in order to get all the ‘goodies’ I should buy from every store listed here. Pathetic DLC crap policy. Thanks but no, thanks. I’ll stick to The Witcher 2.
Relieved?
Revealed?
Looks nice either way.
I must confess, I dont actually own a playstation 360 thingy though.
I do still have a zx 81 mind!
You can get it on PC
Looks nice…I like creative things like this…I just can never afford them most of the time 🙁
All it’s missing is the Chainsword 😉
Or a PowerFist 😀
Hope Steam would have a Deluxe Version for Sale , they deliver the items internationaly or only Digital Deluxe ?
Hmmm would have been even better collector’s edition if it came with a collector model to paint….
Diddo.
2 things
1) i want one
2) look at the far right just below the logo, that my friends is a nid.
3) i really want one.
did i mention i want one?
2) no thats a Bloodletter.
game looks sweet though. definatly getting this when its released.
That looks like one of the Bloodletters from the screenshots, from what i’ve heard the nids were removed from the game.
Good thing I preordered at Gamestop, I love the Black Templars and the Space Wolves.

LOL and on the upside you will get the whole game for about £40 🙂 and not need any resin units 😛

I think I’ll save up for the “Finecast” edition!
You are going to have to wait for a few years and get charged more. Also no online pre-order bonuses let alone being able to buy it online if you live in Europe.
Xbox 360 or PC version? Which shall I get? Anyone? Any BOW-folk going to be playing multiplayer?
Oh heck yeah I’ll be on Xbox Live stomping Orks to bits!

I find it extremely sad that the only news regarding 40k IP that I find exciting lately come in digital form and not from GW.
u guys sure it’s a bloodletter? looks more niddy to me.
No Nids – you get to kick the ass of Orks and Chaos as far as I can see. Go check out the latest video http://www.beastsofwar.com/warhammer-40k/space-marine-combat-system/

ME WANT!!!!!, mainly for the soundtrack and artbook. Posistive thats a bloodletter since they are comfimed and it does look like the similar to the screenshots of the letters. Right i am of the Play, Amazon and Game to see if its up for pre-order. Hope this pack isnt resticted to USA, as sometimes Collector editions have only been avalible in US, eg Diablo2 and Warcraft 3 CEs
YAY! Feels like I have been waiting forever for this one to come out. I will probably get the Steam version if for no other reason than most of the other ‘pre-order’ features will become available later as separate DLCs. I generally dislike the idea of having pre-order specific content, especially those tied to specific consoles/retailers, but the market has spoken on this matter and it’s here to stay. Ill buy the games they license and the black library books, but no more models. Hopefully someday they will decide if they want to be a retailer, or a manufacturer and… Read more »
Maybe GW are hoping the more mainstream interest this will generate in 40k will more than make up for the decrease in sales volume the price increase and stranglehold on international sales will create.
No issues about the game it all seems interesting, I could go into my general views on Collector’s Edition contense, american style different in-game bonuses from different shops and the like but those ain’t really the main topic.
well im getting the pc version its a must really have all the rest of them and this one is a must have game
I find orks and chaos boring myself, I’d rather fight Umbra or Enslavers. Some clever person should do a mod of that.
We wantssss iiiit, my preciousssssss
Holy God, is amazing!!!
I don’t think this worth a hundred dollars. Cool extras, bit not worth paying $40 extra. Most videogame Limited Editions with similar content cost only $20.
just wait a while im sure it go down in price soon enough unless its a very limited run ie ive seen so called limited collector eds go half price in other games within a couple of months
It will go down. 40k isn’t mainstream.
At the video game market, this isn’t worth $40 extra. $20 extra at most.
Now I have to make a decision, Space Wolves or Iron Warriors 😐 not fair. Wish they had the Iron Hands, I would take that in an instant.
I was and pre-ordered collector’s edition from GameStop yesterday
The purity seal rocks but I would of liked to see a mini in it, that reminds me, I have to crack open and paint my orc from WAR collectors ed one of these days.
