Soda Pop Show You Can’t Keep Tentacles Down
June 8, 2012 by dracs
While Soda Pop's controversial new card game Tentacle Bento may have got the kick off of kickstarter the game is still being funded on their own site. To reward their supporters Soda Pop have previewed an image on their Facebook of a new collectable mini which will be free to anyone who pledges $40 or more.
Whatever you may think of the game that does look like it could be a nice sculpt, although it may be rather limited in terms of game usage.
What is your opinion of Tentacle Bento? Do you like the look of this new take on Soda Pop's Candy and Cola?

There seems to be already rather good amount of detail in that one. That really makes me want to see actual model complited.
The anime pin-up style reminds me a lot, at least in terms of proportions, of Kingdom Death’s work.
Given the subject matter she’s probably in for a similar fate as some of their models too… 😉
I’m not one for pin-ups but I do think this was designed rather well.
I didn’t know that Kickstarter gave Soda Pop the boot. When did this happen?
They got kicked I think the day right after they were reported on here. They got a lot of press that week, including the Kotaku piece that kind of kicked off the criticism of the game.
From what I understand of it.
The Kotaku article was basically someone seeing the word “tentacle” linked with the term “anime” and then jumping to conclusions without doing any research.
Then someone else who also didn’t do any research read the article and complained to Kickstarter.
Kickstarter, also not doing any research. Banned the project.
Perfect mini for a dungeon crawl. More armor point than a dwarf warrior.
