it’s morale, 😛
… or a 6 Warren… In the beginning
And it’s not up to 12″ Rapid Fire… It’s up to 1/2 Range now.
And flyers! You also use snap fire to shoot at flyers!
Again, know you guys wanna keep it simple, just pting out…
Also you do not have to stay still to shoot Rapid Fire at Maximum range. You can move and shoot 1 shot at full range.
There is a big diffrence between 5th edition shooting and 6th edition shooting.
According to page 52 rapid fire weapons can move and shoot full range. Is there somewhere else that says they can’t
They must have forgotten its changed, those were the old rules before they buffed rapid fire….
FYI, For regular blast weapons, wounds are allocated per normal shooting rules (models closest to shooting unit, pg. 33 BRB) it is only barrage weapons that allocate wounds to the models under the template (closest to the center hole, pg. 34 BRB)
Hey guys, after reading my rule book there is nothing in there that says Rapid fire weapons can move and shoot at all? the old 5th ed diagram is gone and all the other weapons specifically state it in their diagrams =S
There is on p53 there is a diagram with all the weapon types
Its now the case that most units can move and fire doing the turn. However the exceptions are in each type of weapon. Also see page 53 for images. Some weapons can only snap fire after moving. And some weapons let you assault after firing etc.
nice summary, couple of minor mistakes but useful for the beginner!
On page 53 it still does not say that rapid fire weapons can only shoot half range if the unit moved. It just says they can’t assault if the shoot.
so, had a game last night with my buddies and we came across all sorts of issues with shooting units that have mixed armor and independent characters with shots from different AP’s and weapons etc. etc. That’s pretty much down to the system being complicated, long winded and extremely poorly written. one of the guys found this flow chart to explain it… http://www.centexwar.com/WoundAllocation6E.pdf Now, if a rule set needs a flow chart that looks like that to explain it… It’s rubbish. after the draft it should have been screwed up and thrown in the bin, then they should have started… Read more »
That chart looks wrong, especially around the look out sir roles. The chatrt also makes it look a lot more complicated then it really is.
