Shock Troop Weapon Team from Wargames Factory

Making a change from the samurai that we saw not long ago, Wargames Factory have released images of their new Shock Troop Heavy Weapons Team. Check out the assembled models below...
Not bad hey? Check out some more...
The quality of these plastics is going to be a lot better in the finished run according to them, but I am liking these models with a very Darth Vader/Storm Trooper look to them.
Would you use these folks for any of your Sci-Fi wargames?

In general not bad – but there seem to be something wrong with the guy with the pistol in the 3rd picture
He’s French, that’s what’s wrong with him!
Pretty impressed, actually! I still think the kneeling/sitting guys’ legs are a bit too short, but that may just be the camera angle. Looks like you’ll get 4 sprues in the set.

very nice looking models, just hope GW lets them away with it…
The Shocktroops have been out for about 2 years , and nothing has been done, apart from two arms and two legs , head and guns GW cant touch them , there independantly sculpted , look nothing like IG (apart from DKOK) and are different.
There not sold as IG or anything to do with them , GW would have to have a IP on the human figure to go after WGF…
The orignals are excellent too , very pleased these are out…
They seem to be generic enough not to be a problem. Too bad they come out this late, I sold off my guardstuff that I kept to build on these sprues.
i have their first shock troopers. I did some up on minirama

I dont like the way their arms fit with the body, it seems a bit unnatural. But not a bad deal for minis. Also the alien heads were a fun feature, my entire squad used all of them. I guess im also a little disappointed these new sprues dont include any more alien heads.
I have to say I’m not taken with these at all. There is something unconvincing about the anatomy of several of the figures, for example compare the length of the calf to the length of the arm on the kneeling figure (top and bottom, right). The calf is far too short (or his dad was an orangutan). The weapons are also unconvincing collections of poorly detailed boxes, particularly the one in the second pic. All the Wargames Factory stuff I have seen so far looks like WIP rather than finished products. I really wish they made better models as I… Read more »
I think they are very useful as donor parts, but they are more than a bit off on the proportions of the arms and legs.
But still very useful if cut up and mix with Imperial Guard parts.
My son has 2 boxes of the Shock troopers he built for our Vortex minis game. He will be excited about these I’m sure.
