Shake Up the Trenches With Victoria’s Broolian Beastmen
April 18, 2013 by dracs
Looking for way to break the status quo of trench warfare? Well Victoria Miniatures are pleased to announce that they are now releasing their new Broolian Beastmen Trench Raiders.
As I said before, these are nicely reminiscent of the way the Imperial Guard used to field units of beastmen back in the day, but they could still fit in to modern day armies as a cool sci-fi alternative to cultists. Mutants are definitely one of the defining features of Chaos in the 41st millennium, so fielding these guys would add a nice degree of flavour to a force.
Fancy letting out the beasts?
There was a time when 40K was serious business and the Guard fielded beastman assault squads, yes. And cool-looking Ogryns and Rough Riders. Those were the days. Actually makes me sad to think of what 40K once was, and what it has degraded into.
Love them, and love the name Broolian – If only I had a game in which I could use them …
Yes the good old beastmen of the Imperium. From what I know about how the story has gone, the beastmen where considered subhuman like Ratlings and Ogryns. But that all changed when a inquisitor started to say they where mutants and the Imperium smoked them all.
Tobacco was in short supply to be fair. 😛
I like the first one, top left.
