S-Foils to Attack Positions for the X-Wing Miniatures Game!

So it looks like we now have more information from our recon droids on the X-Wing Miniatures Game from Fantasy Flight Games! Check out a few snaps below!
The starting kit and main box for this game comes with one X-Wing Fighter and a pair of deadly TIE Fighters, as well as missions and personalities to play as from the Star Wars universe.
These are some stunningly realised models from Fantasy Flight games and seriously show you what a pre-painted miniatures should look like!
So if you were previously a fan of Wings of War then does this new setting of Star Wars, as well as additional mechanics look like it could turn you to the Dark Side and join with this game? Maybe this will sway you...
On top of the release of the base game is also a raft of Expansions too! Above you see the TIE Advanced and Y-Wing Expansion packs allowing you to pilot a different craft. As well as these there are also expansion packs for the X-Wing and TIE Fighters mixing in more personalities and abilities.
The game should be out this Summer!
Will this game stir up a little bit of nostalgia for a good old trench run?

This might be interesting to try.
oh yes, oh yes, oh yes!
The attention to detail is just superb – those circular (turning?) templates are based off each side’s respective engine designs. Just needs a gaming mat based off the Death Star trenches (and maybe in future some turbolaser towers in an objectives expansion) to be totally perfect, hope that’s included in the box!
Scale is off. X-wing’s much smaller than it should be. Okay, granted, this happens in miniatures games and sometimes has to, but it seems pointless in this case. I guess that’s nitpicking, though.
This si the one I’m waiting for, I liked the look of the first world war one when darrell showed it on here, but it seems out of production these days, and as much as I like the Spitfire, the WW2 one didnt appeal as much, but this one, well, cant go wrong with star wars.
Of course, with my luck, I’ll end up as the rotund guy who crashes.
I want a deathstar model!
