March 9, 2012 by dracs
In the future battle is tough and even heavily armoured super-soldiers need a little more protection occasionally. Protection Scibor can provide with their new Templar Shields!
These massive decorative shields are the perfect way to give your character or elite miniatures a more ornate and unique appearance in the army.
What are your thoughts on these shields? Think they might be enough to protect your minis?

Scibor do some of the best SM accessories – these will make great storm shields for Black Templar players. They might be a little big for normal infantry, but they could also decorate vehicles like Land Raiders or scratchbuilt Empire Steam Tanks or even make good terrain dressing for GW’s plastic buildings. If you’re feeling really brave you could break them up or otherwise damage them and put them onto something like Ork Nob bases to show their strength – there’s a lot of use to Scibor bitz.
I have some Pegasus church sections for a Templar monastery project that would really benefit from a few of those adorning the walls. Whilst I’m not a huge fan of the actual scibor ‘sci-fi knight’ figures themselves, I have to agree the accessories range is very well done. My landraider crusader has a couple of the panels they do and people always like the detailing when they see it.
I’ve got some of the spartan shields, have to say they are excellent castings, very little flash and very nice detail.
They do some great egyptian style power swords and halberds that would go great with those heads from puppets war too.
I always liked the accessories they make. Full of detail and they make sets in themes of some sort. Thumbs up for them again!
Those shields look great. So much detail.
I’ve got scribor shields on my Empire knights, they aren’t that good a quality, ridiculous ammounts of miscasts and breakages, but they don’t really matter on my knights as I wanted them to look war torn, but just be wary when ordering them
