Scibor Send You Straight to Hell with New Flaming Bases

War is hell certainly, but sometimes you might want to take your miniatures down into the real depths of the Underworld. Check out these new 40mm scenic bases, the Straight to Hell set, from Scibor Miniatures...
They seem like some of the older bases that Scibor released, but with a few additional tweaks. Runic scribbles, masses of fire and the occasional demonic force bursting out of the broken stone. I'm thinking a bit of Dante's Inferno needs to come through in these miniatures. Get the classical mixed into the fantasy.
Will you be going to hell for these?
I’m thinking that with those faces in the flames you could paint these up completely differently. Go with a black and glowing green-or-blue scheme to get platforms floating on the restless souls of the dead for your favorite undead army characters. Or you could paint them up to look like spirits emerging from smoke. The shape of these bases don’t scream “flames” to me so the colors you choose are what will really determine what they appear to be.
That’s a good idea. I also like that the faces are not that over powering and will be more of a small detail to what ever model will be placed on it.
Fearsome zombie-like faces coming out of the ‘soulfyre’ here – I wish they had open mouths as though they were in proper hellish agony but they still look good. Being on round-lipped bases suggests Warmahordes usage – perhaps they could be used for Menoth forces as if the souls of the righteous (or the heretical) were powering them or with a glowy green paint job they could work equally well with Cryx.
