Sandrunners, Macrosynths and Neo-Iskandrians Take over Urban War
July 31, 2012 by brennon
This morning we're going to take a quick look at some new miniatures and the latest faction from Urban War by Urban Mammoth. Check out the first two miniatures below...
This pair are the Macrosynth Heavy Walker and the Sandrunner Decurion. These are some pretty good looking miniatures, although it would be nice to see an actual 'running' Sandrunner, especially with the odd mount he has. There's certainly a bit of an 80's and 90's vibe from the Urban War range too.
Of course one of the biggest things for Urban War at the moment is the Neo-Iskandrians, which you can see some of the art for above. They are certainly a faction of note and there are plenty of ways to find out more about them on the Urban Mammoth website.
There's not only Artwork but Fiction and Stat Cards as well, so go check them out as your prospective newest faction on the table top.
Don't forget to also check out Urban War's Facebook Page for more information and images from the game.
What are your thoughts on Urban War as a game right now?

It used to be that these miniatures were hit and miss, some of them a bit crude… But the sculpts are getting better. Rumors are they’re in the process of remaking the game… or at least the minis.
Hope that happen, i really like their art concept.
Thats quite a facelift for the series, only complaint id have is the sandrunner rider sufferd from GWknightus tooshortlegus .. Really looks odd
its not that his legs are to short but the rest of him is to long 😉
Sure looks odd
Liking that first mini, a tripod leg setup might be a pain to assemble however
Not sure given that he he mounted on an ostrich headed camel, or Ostel.
A young one would be a Youth Ostel.
I really like this game and in wayland there some starter boxes at a very cheap price :

You can try it on Vassal, there is a official module that you can download from their page or the Vassal one.
Also Pegasus Hobbies Sci Terrain might work perfect for it.
