or the hotness of your natty jacket sets it on fire as you bathe in the admiring looks from your enemies
Or you have a spring mounted lance tip, that kicks the firing pin into a percussion cap.

Problem is if you would still be holding the lance. Not sure horsey would be your friend after that!

Praetorian IG. Says it all really. If you don’t have the old metals, maybe someone does plastic ‘Michael-Caine-in-Zulu’ style models you can glue lasguns to.

Victoria Lamb did a Praetorian Guard army years ago which was themed by Zulu movie. Even sculpted/converted a Michael Caine look-a-like for the commanding officer. It still on Coolminiornot: http://www.coolminiornot.com/11766?browseid=2968167
I like Wargames Factory models. But they make horrible Praetorian conversions.
Victoria Lamb his sculpted up some Pretorian heads and torsos, the guns and arms are on the way. She has legs in kilts and is working on ‘guard’ legs. If you wanna convert Praetorian use them!
