Raging Heroes Hits the Road on Their War Bike
June 20, 2013 by dracs
Raging Heroes' Kickstarter campaign for The Toughest Girls in the Galaxy has been a resounding success, so much so that they are bringing out new stretch goals for past the $400,000 mark.
The first of the these stretch goals has already been achieved, which is unsurprising as it is possibly the coolest war bike ever!
The concept sketch shows a giant, gothic contraption which looks like it just rode off the the front cover of a heavy metal album. It does suffer from one problem which many sci-fi bikes have, in that it is so large that the rider appears almost inconsequential. But it is still brimming with over the top style, just how we like our wargames.
If you prefer to walk Raging Heroes have another stretch goal waiting at the $405,000 mark. This one is a character who truly deserves the moniker Toughest Girl in the Galaxy.
This is Raven, the leader of the Jail Birds who we have seen previously. Everything about her design screams defiance. Normally I might be a bit disparaging of the old arms by the sides, feet spread apart stance, but here it just makes it look more like she is letting out a hearty war cry. I cannot wait to see her in miniature form.
If you haven't chipped into this Kickstarter be sure to head over and check it out.

The bike’s nice but the engine on that thing looks like it could power a Landraider………Also agree on Raven. Looks pretty stunning although the character of the face is often the one thing that doesn’t transfer/translate into the sculpt.
I’m a backer of this and I’m glad of it.
yeah…I’m struggling to choose between different factions. I think a mix of different heavy troops from iron and kurganovas with a mix of artillery/characters from all three…wish I hadn’t put so much into Deadzone now…..
I’ve never been into bikes in wargaming before. This has changed that.
I don’t blame you for your hesitation in the past with bikes as they all look like lego. It’s hard to believe that this is just one of nine bikes that we will eventually unlock. (3 per faction) and they van all interchange riders. How cool is that?!
Didnt do Deadzone, glad I didnt now. I love all these concepts, dying to see the Mechs. I think these are the coolest looking minis Ive ever seen, lets hope the concepts translate which I think they will. Now…which ones going to lead my Inquisitorial Warband? 🙂
I realy realy dont want to bash GW anymore, but Im so happy that minis of this quality are comming out. I was just thinking why oh why dont they get their finger out and embrace the community ? Whats wrong, realy I dont get it at all. I want to spend money, and I often do on toys and games. Im so glad Im back in the hobby and the 41st has a special place in my heart and its just the dogs nuts but I cant help shaking my head at the state of GW these days. They… Read more »
Interesting post. It is worrying isn’t it. Many keep saying GW are the first point of contact for young gamers and their redeeming feature is they essentially establish the market. That they dumb things down a bit to facilitate this. But then they go and charge adult prices for their products. I have no idea how kids get into GW over here in NZ ( where a codex is equivalent to 50 quid) most would have to save for months to get a couple of troop squads….and still not be able to play the game…..bonkers.
