Puppets War Speed in Like a Thunderbolt
September 21, 2012 by dracs
Puppets War have just released a new vehicle to send your sci-fi super soldiers swooping over the battlefield to deliver some blistering fire power. Check out the Thunderbolt Light Air Speeder!
With Speeders now so useful in 6th edition, this miniature will provide you with the alternate model to set your troops apart. The set apparently comes with about 12 different weapons, meaning you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to killing your enemies. Shall you fry then with a flamer or blast them with a bolter? Both are good.
While I think the general sculpt is rather nice, I'm not particularly fond of the way the front pilot has no protection and is completely open top. While it may allow for him to leap off if need be, it does rather leave the whole thing looking like a hyper advance arm chair.
Who would use this in their army? Does anyone fancy fighting their battles from an arm chair?

With a little conversion work on the pilots, this will look great as part of my ravenwing.
I’ll assume it has some sort of force-field …
Wheelchair on steroids.
I like the wind in my hair too. woooosh !
Looks like an old Necron Destroyer. Seems a little bit too squat. Wait a minute! Squats! Carve out those pilots and put in some Forge Fathers instead!

It’s a cut and shunt, land speeder and convertable two seater stormtalon “Simples” in fact I might convert my Stormtalon into single seater version 🙂
why cant the start to sculpt things that actually look like theycould stay in the air ….. (same with GW …except for the ork fighta bomma)
I’d like it much better if the pilot and gunner had some kind of canopy over them.
It needs to be lower. …and have wheels.
Reminds me of one of those swamp fan boats.
Now there’s a pilot with some real gut’s….
Anyone else notice their Ebay store is shutdown? IE they’re no longer registered on Ebay anymore. Of course you can still purchase from their website just without the backing of Ebay should something go wrong.
Not a fan, the cockpit is way to open. I could imagine something as small as a rock hitting you in the hand and breaking it when your doing a buck twenty, let alone a bullet. This would on the other hand be perfect for professor X from x-men.
