That I’m impressed with. Not to much detail but it still very clean and thought out.
Given the size, this would be a pretty good Canoptek Spyder I reckon. There’s less emphasis on having legs and more on having wings, so it has that ancient Egyptian scarab feel more suited to the new ‘Tomb Kings in SPESS’ Necron fluff. The back looks like I could double-click with it ATM so maybe some more glyphs could be etched in, but it’s a good clean piece and not over the top like the Cyber Bike with the giant face.
Might make a good khermic titan from monstrous arcana? Can’t really get the scale, might be a little small?
More inclined to using it as a cron ship for BFG or as a nice big detail piece sat on the side of a monolith. Cool and cleanly designed.
I rather like the small beetle things.
If you put a small groove down their backs so it looked like the plates opened up into wings they would look even better.

Wow, GW really need to hurry up with that second wave before Puppets war do the whole thing before them! They’ve already done those awesome looking Wraiths and tomb blade stand-ins, now the spyder too! all that’s left is the canoptek stalker! Getting more tempted here!!
As soon as they bring out their “Cyber Crescent Aerial Transport/Deathbeamer”, I’m going to declare Puppet War the winner.
argh! how could I forget the flyers? I need two night scythes for my immortals, and the stalker too since my 3rd necron army is Triarch themed. GW wait too long to release second waves. Rumours seem to say chaos or dark angels for may/june too, ill give them till july* before ill be going Puppets War I think. *July was IIRC when the DE 2nd wave was out

After getting badly spanked by Necrons in last weekend’s 40K competition, I’ve been considering them as a second (easy to paint) army.
Models like this have really made me think it would be cool to have. I’ll have to work up an army list.
