Nothing personal, but how much nostalgic value must the IP hold for people to want to play with something as ugly as the Star Trek ships? I mean, look at that cover, it’s like a bunch of kitchen appliances decided to shoot each other with lasers … 😀
Ugly ? UGLY ?
Why I ought to…
BoW Romain
Quick run Lucas, I’ll distract him with this month’s minirama competition entries
Whew, … thanks dracs, that was a close one! At least I now know what I’ll give Romain, should our paths ever cross … you know, as a thanks for all those painting tutorials;
A tabletop alien command center for his games of Star Trek, like this one http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TfgDsnRiFM8/S6rI16IN3CI/AAAAAAAABDs/DHYTtTbgNNg/s1600/lava_lamp.jpg
A design masterpiece from roughly the same era … 😛

For once Romain, we are in agreement. I share your shocked and appalled reaction.
I put aside others’ differences and receive negative carma for it? You people take your dishes way too seriously! 😀
I am excited for this game I will buy 2 fleets Klingon’s & Feds. I love the Trek universe and if you want to see some of the early design of some of the ships check these out. I hear that most of them will be resin.

Where are the Minis?????
If you don’t like the classic era ships, as long as the system is good, it should be easy to modify the rules for Next Generation starships.
So how will this compare to Star Fleet Battles? Speaking of which, do we have any Star Fleet Battles players out there?
This is a partnership with the company SFB. Mongoose has developed a rule set based on the noble armada rule set.
Well if thats the case, I will definitely check this out and take my Romulan fleet into this new system!!! I’m excited.
What’s this? They have all the major races except for Tribbles! Oh yes, you know you want to see space tribbles shooting hair balls at the other fleets 😛
Star Trek movie on telly this weekend to get you in the mood
Lets hope the IP rights are tied up nicely by Mongoose, wouldnt want the rules to die due to an expired agreement . Looking forward to seeing models, rules etc looked at by BoW…do you guys speak Klingon??
“we come in peace, shoot to kill
klingons on the starboard bow
only going forward cos we cant find reverse”
