In today’s Daily Tip, Vishal and Andy take a look at slamming your opponent‘s Warjacks, and how this can be put to best effect. Whether you’re slamming them into a wall, or pushing them into a lake, it’s bound to prove useful.
hey guys i got two questions, mate of mine plays some variation of Dark Angels n he got himself a LR Crusader which he has bolted on a set of B-17 wings from somewhere and calls it a Stormraven since to him it has near enough the same weapon loadout (hurricane bolters, Melta, Assault cannons) and size, to which he adds a mortis dread with 2 twin linked autocannons and a devastator squad with 4 heavy bolters. He uses this like a big mobile shooty fortress to tackle my orks at a distance, i would like to know if hes… Read more »
Are you sure the slam distance is 1/2 d6? I thought it was 1/2 d6 when the slammed model has a smaller base than the one that is slamming.
I really do love slams. When I play with my Circle against Khador for example I do a lot of slams, just to get those big cans out of the way. Even better when I can teleport the warbeast back with Kaya’s spell. 🙂
Just an aesthetic comment: GW has amazing eye candy for a reason; it gets players and spectators excited and immersed. In Warmachine and Hordes, I usually see the field littered with tokens, and that really harshes my immersion buzz.
The everawesome slam. Most usefull power-attack in my opinion. I love all these Warmachine videos guys. thanks a lot!
Good to see the Cygnar doing some damage this video.
Can you do a video demonstrating power attacks that produce collateral damage?
grate video .i love the slam .its the best power attack i think .good job andy .
Can any ‘Jack slam? Or is it just certain ones?
Any Heavy war jack/beast without the “serpentine” special rule
I love those videos ! It’s so much better than just trying to figure out what the minis can do by myself with the rules leaflet…
Thanks so much lads for the video. My son and I are really getting into this game so keep ’em coming!!!
It’s too easy to think in the usual gaming terms of hit and shoot, you have to go beyond them when playing Warmachine. I’m lovin’ it.

i can see this being used to a grand effect in larger games with more ‘jacks and maybe even deep water. where you slam a ‘jack into the deeper water.
This was very informative.
