New pocket-sized rule book for Malifaux!
January 13, 2011 by beerogre
Wyrd Miniatures have announced a new pocket-sized Rules Manual for their Malifaux game.
The manual will contain all the rules required to play a Malifaux game and will be updated to include the latest errata and rules changes, to make this the most up-to-date version of the rules currently available in print... but there's more!
The guys from Wyrd have also announced that they will be releasing a free download of the Malifaux rules as a PDF.
The company hasn't released any dates yet, but they say it will available be early in 2011... so expect it soon!

Ah… good spot… serves me right for trying to write articles after pulling three all-nighters in a row! 😀

Ouch that stinks
Does that mean we will see videos of those new Warmachine models soon? 😛
Fun game. Plays similar to Warmachine. really would like to see the guys at BoW start doing more reports and unboxing on it
Yea, I really want to see more malifaux there.
Here! Here! I too would love to see BoW cover Malifoux.
Malifaux is a great game ! Also, most of the minis are great and really original…
And, yes, some aren’t that good.
On the whole it’s a fun, fast paced game, and you can really go to town painting those minis individually.
Glad to see some people here are interested in it !
It’s great to see any game make it’s rules more accessible but for malifaux in particular, I’m not sure it will have the same effect. Even if the rules are free you still need a fate deck to test it out right?
Technically, you could use a standard card deck, where each suit represents one of the Malifaux suits… but it becomes confusing when you’re in the middle of a combination of actions and you need multiple suits and values etc.
The Fate Deck is just much easier.
I’ve written an article on Malifaux. I’ll dig it out and publish it.

If you look on the web you can find all kinds of reference for in games.
I’m realy looking forward to reading through the rules to get a feel for it.
Theres a guy plays locally at G3 in Glasgow who has made some simply midblowing terrain for Malifaux using WorldWorks and water effect resin, watching a game played across that table reminds me why I got into wargaming in the first place, and the game itself has some genuinely inventive mechanics that make it stand head and shoulders above its peers. Well worth a look for anyone , with an already low start up cost becoming lower yet.
Looking forward to this book, will make looking up rules much simpler..
