Palladium’s Robotech RPG Funded Over The Weekend!

Palladium Books have done extremely well with their Robotech RPG Kickstarter as it has been successfully funded over the weekend! Check out a few of the new images below...
First up we have a look at the main boxed game that will get you started in Robotech. That is a fair few models for both the human and alien sides each hell bent on destroying one another.
On one hand you have the United Earth Defense Force and on the other the Zentraedi. From there your fights could be with as few as two miniatures or maybe you could take it to a more galactic scale.
Above are also a selection of the things that have been unlocked or will be unlocked over the course of the next few stretch goals. One of the big stars is Roy Fokker with his instantly recognisable skull and crossbones motif across his suits armour. He also comes in his various modes too, from full on fighter jet through to hybrid and eventually mech.
I have to say that I've not been much of an anime/manga fan for a while now and the miniatures do look a little crazy but I'm starting to warm to the idea of the game. It's certainly something I'll be keeping an eye on as it develops.
Has Robotech caught your eye?
Seeing that Destroid pack makes me wonder what is size of these as I might want to use those as unseens in Battletech.
They did a scale photo of a Battlepod and Veritech in Battleoid mode next to a Space Marine. The ‘Pod is much taller (if spindly) whilst the Battleoid is slightly taller than the Astartes. By that measure the RDF mecha should be just about right for Battletech (which is why I’m planning on adding a few extras to use for my Mercenary Lance…)
Boy, they smashed that goal like a melon. So much more time left and this is only the beginning.
The scale is 1/285, exactly the same as Battletech. They look right next to the BT minis as well, just check out the pics from Adepticon all over the net.
Off the top of my head, further stretch goals should include: the VF-1D model Valkyrie, armored versions of the Valkyries (they are really just head swaps), the Zentraedi missile mods, both male and female Zentraedi model powered armors, “Strike” and “Super” versions of the Valkyries…heck, they might even throw in the Super Ostrich and AWACS types (most of the Valkyrie variants are probably easy to develop, just some extra parts tacked on).
Lots to go, but with this kind of steam, we may see all of it.
