Haven’t fielded my 40k orks in ages….might be tempted to give this list a go since a buddy of mine seems to be buying up crazy amounts of Tynarnids. Keep these Enlisted Vids coming guys! I love the combination of list building with tactics included.
Can we maybe get some WHFB lists once in a while? Maybe from some of the older army books? Might actually get people interested in a game or two…or at least give them incentive to field an old favorite army they’ve had kicking around for a while 😛
I’m with you guys. Can’t see many ways for all-round armies to fight back against this list. A tailor-made army wouldn’t find it easy either. Those Boyz are just amazing value at 6pts a pop.
Eldar missile launchers may be of use against this list those plasma rounds that cause pinning are pretty useful against orks, just spam them and hope you have something that can take out the nobs and watch the ork player get upset at his 89 boyz going to ground all the time
I can’t help but notice a significant problem with that list: why spent the points on things like ammo runts and skorchas when you can just take more ork boyz?
Space marine snipers would come in handy against this lot (Pinning), with alot of long range template firepower (whirlwinds/plasma cannon,missile launcher deverstaters), Land Speeder Typhoons, and going first would help as well 🙂
Actually, the snipers wouldn’t do anything. All of the units would be fearless are therefore automatically pass pining tests.

I actually think a GK Purifier list would give this one a really hard time. Retreating whilst unloading storm bolters + cleansing flame to deal with the regular boys and force weapons to drop the bikers. It’d be a rough and bloody battle thats for sure.
My friends and I had a few proxy battles against ork nob bikers, except the list we were trying had lootas to back the bikers up instead of masses of boys. It was just gross what the bikers could do.
One thing! If you have mobs of 30 always take them as Shoota Boyz rather than Sluga Boyz. You won’t be getting all 120 attacks in because they won’t all be within 2″ in nearly all cases. So your going down to 90 attacks, yet not all of them will get in as well. It also means you have 30 assault 2 18″ assault weapons. Which is 60 shots at (i belive) S4 which isn’t too bad though Ap5 isn’t realy relevant. That makes it more affective for first of all weakening a unit before you assault, and in assault… Read more »
Nice video guys, first thing I thought of to combat the big mobs were furioso with blood talons,which of course you later mention, assuming you take the blood angels theme, I would suggest mephiston would give the bikers a run for their money, take a couple of big units of vanguard veterans with meltas to use heroic intervention on those biker mobs, to back up mephiston, and you may have a chance.
and this is why 40k need new rules, preferably less focused on medieval tech owning stuff thats 40,000 years into the future…

as a recently former Ork player. I loved my look feel, etc of my army. But i get friggin tired of moving a 100 models a turn. I just switched to space wolves and love it tho!
any gk would mince this army sadly. land raiders with dca’s,psyfleman dreads (insta death to the nobs), purifiers with cleansing whatever and psy cannons in abundance 😛 I still love my orks though! my only 40k army and I won’t stop building until I’ve maxed out every unit entry 🙂
personaly, i am not that terrified of this army list, why, because i have versed it before. you have to remember all the little tricks of the trade. useing strength 8 weapons against the bikers is ideal, this DOES cause instant death to nobs (not the boss) bikes give +1 toughness but doesn’t count against instant death, this also gets rid of feel no pain on the nobs because it is counting as instant death, Wargh does not work on the bikes (pg 53 of rulebook, bikes can’t run) once that is done the rest is personal prefference, scary list,… Read more »
Love this vid! I’m a long time Ork player and so glad you guy’s gave them some love! My list is simular, but I drop one of the warbosses for a big mek with force field and join him with a boy mob. Keeps them alive crossing the board. Thx again for the fun video.
How many points is that list? Why would you take just 5 paladins i would take 10! Give 1 a banner for +1 att, make 1 an apothecary for feel no pain, 2 incinerators and the rest halberds, all for a measly 750pts. About 45 initiative 6 power weapon attacks, i think they need 2s to hit/wound, and they are terminators with 2 wounds. That is one sweeeet unit. I still believe that mechanised ork boys are far more dangerous than footslogging. Or at the very least try and get a Mek with Kustom Force Field into the army, which IMO is one of the best things the orks have available. Put one in with those boys squads, and they have a 5+ cover save, keeping them alive much more efficiently. I would like to see some lootas in the army, just for some support in taking out the tanks outside of close combat. i edited this list a tiny bit i droped the nobs ammo runts gave thenm the other peoples boss poles and traded the kombi rokkits for kombi skorchas then through in that last ork to make it 3 full squads 🙂
My friend’s 10 Assault Marines and Shrike where charged by a Mob of 30 Boyz, they got their 120 attacks and i believe about 60 wounded. The squad then proceeded to make every single armor save, and cut the squad to piece’s. I posted this to show that even 120 attacks can still fail you from time to time.
I would play a tripple Night Spinner List against this list. That means S6 Large Blast AP6 Rending, Barrage, Twin Linked. This may seem useless against 30 Ork Boyz x 3. But…when they next move they are in difficult AND dangerous terrain. Roll one dice for EVERY model in the squad, any 1s equals dead. So if I get the first turn, you are losing 1/6 of your boyz every turn, and your’re only moving D6 instead of 6″ a turn. But those Nob Bikers are impossible to deal with.
