December 17, 2010 by dracs

Furioso, ugh… I’m not showing this to my friend.
It’s Power Klaw Darrel. Power Klaw.
What he fails to do though with the blood talons is re-roll to wound. They count as lightning claws 🙂
probably the most interesting daily tip ever. the host was far more interested in what he was doing today (that’s not to say that he isn’t interested in what he’s doing on a daily basis, only that today he was apparently interested in the concept he was speaking about). well done. perhaps “these guys vs these other guys” is something that should be talked about far more often, or at least that’s the opinion of a new player…
(i played second edition in the early nineties… lol)
Yeah I agree with geniuschrist. I love these guy vs guy videos like the howling banshees vs terminator video. They show some great tactics and are really interesting to watch. Keep up the good work.
WTH!? how many points are them blood talon things, they MUST be at least 40 points surely! and how did Darrel not mention cheese at all this video? especially when talking about them claws
Actually I believe Blood Talons are a free replacement for Blood Fists. On the plus side the extra attacks only happen if you have two of them so one weapon destroyed result = useless furioso.
Most informative. Not that I play with/against Orks/Space Marines (of any flavour), but definitely useful for if I ever do come up against them 😀
With my codex chapter of marines against a unit of 30 boys, it’s better to use the dreadnought (ironclad preferably) to hold them in one spot for a turn to allow the assault marines to get the charge (10 man squad of course), even un-upgraded a one-two combo like that will tear a unit of 30 boyz to shreds. Might not wipe them out completely but it will definately get them in leadership test territory.
Good tip, keep them coming
the death company dread is the best. fleet and furious charge, ignoring shaken and stunned! Daryl has obviously never faced one in combat, or he would shut his mouth.
Think the issue with the death company dread is the fact that you wont be able to send it towards the unit you want to send it to what with rage (At least a good opponent wont let you do it). I played a game the Tuesday before this vid, had the same scenario. 30 Boyz + Grotsnik mad doc guy, drop pod furioso nearish to them. boyz moved up, called a waaghh to fleet, got a 1″ fleet moved and ended up 1″ short of charge. Furioso survived shooting with just a can’t shoot, then proceeded to munch through… Read more »
I’d just ram it with my deffrolla! 😉
A furioso (anykind) will have a meltagun to Deaht or cake/glory the Wagon with :p
Haha! Gud ‘un. But wrong! You ‘umies are too weedy to handle a true Waaagh! Just wait till Nazdreg’s back in da game!
Any other horde type units this tactic works on?
Um.. Imperial guard infantry, tyranid homogaunts + termagaunts.
