Hell I love the zaku-like design of those mechs
Sieg Zeon!
I am loving stuff that Nu-Coal more than stuff that any other faction in Heavy Gear gets. Besides Nu-Coal gets gears that transform into tanks just like R-44 Guntank from Gundam F91 and Lodo from Gundam Unicorn.
You may, but the newer Field Guides that will be coming out are reported to bring in some of the more advanced Gears from the South and North, as well as some brand-new ones that have never been seen, even by veteran Heavy Gear RPG fans like myself. That’s the rumor, anyway.
Mm… yes, the NuCoal Gears do seem to have some Zaku-like properties, but Heavy Gear was more inspired by AT VOTOMS. Old anime.

I’m building a paratroop regiment right now with lots of Jerbo paratroop scout gears and Chasseur paratroop gears. Secure a landing zone with Infantry and Sampson APCs adn Fusilier tanks then drop troops around them to bracket troops. Doing this as a Kyar Al Din army for many duelists despite it being not tourney legal right now. I want to be ready for when it moves out of beta.
