New Necron Deathmarks!
October 15, 2011 by beerogre
It look’s to me like the Necrons are getting Snipers! Check out the Deathmarks!
Those are pretty impressive looking rifles and with their single-eye... it's safe to say these guys are probably the marksmen of the Necron army.
I hear that they will be available as a box, which will make an entire unit.
Here's links to all the NEW Necrons

these are probably my favourite new model sneaked. whilst they are probably the least ‘necron’ they look like stone cold killers!
I don’t really trust all this ‘leaked’ info, don’t GW do this a lot? models get ‘leaked’ about a month before they are due to release them anyway to wet the appetites of their buyers and get a bit of free publicity across other platforms on the internet (BoW TGN, BoLS etc)
yep it seems a bit too frequent to be true to me
When GW leak something its mentioned vaguely or hinted at in their blog or on Facebook or something. Here if you look at the pictures closely and notice the pricetages, ‘availble november 5th’, the text and the box with the blue faded background the Necron Overlord is in with the close up shots in boxes, its quite clear that BOW have manged to get hold of some pages of next months White Dwarf. I think this is a genuine leak, not a publicity stunt, and someones about to lose their job at White Dwarf.
These are probably the pick of the lot for me.
However, one eyed snipers, old one eye the tyranid, I think someone in the design studio has some underlying issues to resolve.
Im confused… so your saying you dont trust this “leaked” info? Ok. Soooo what are you saying.. that this information maybe untrue? Or that it is true, but its not really “leaked” it was deliberatly misplaced? Meh, either way I think not letting people know what comming more than a month or two away is stupid. I understand the concept of not letting competing comapanies access to your moddels, but it takes more than a month to create a model. And dont worrie, with a month or two hype, there easyly going to sell more than they would if one… Read more »
Sorry I didn’t articulate myself very well. I mean it seems deliberately misplaced, it seems to be a way of building up hype. Personally I think they should just officially show the models a few months in advance, so people can start saving their pennies
That might be true but then why did GW order “no leaks” in the first place. It’s a recent thing to stop all word and news on what they’re up to until the GW website posts it.
Yeah they’re possibly my favourite new models, really do like them
I like them, but they remind me of legion from mass effect 2
By far the scariest looking unit of these new releases. I think the lack of eyes gives them a very ‘alien’ look tot hem, very dark, very sinister. Now, will they good on the tabletop???
ummm, heard of a little thing called depth perception?
Machinery using optical sensors does not need depth perception, nor is depth perception absolutely needed for accurate targetting, hence why sniper scopes are not binocular.
They’d have trouble getting around though. Nothing worse than your evil robot snipers tripping over rocks, and walking into trees.
Monocular vision is not at all the handicap people believe it to be.
It’s a common misconception, reinforced in gaming by severe stat penalties when in fact you can operate at near 100% full capacity with one eye.
You don’t become a bumbling clumsy mess.
Me like, gimme, gimme 😉
I’m happy they don’t have those tacky green plastic rods on the guns anymore.
These look more like miniatures and less like cheap toys.
I’m liking these a lot, just shows GW can’t stop this sort of leak – it’s called a phone with a camera and some guy in Poland not caring all too much about his job, either that or I imagine a scene like Spartacus 🙂 They really should have shown these off at Games Day, at least then we’d have high quality pictures and they could show them off how they wanted, who really cares for Dreadfleet anyway? 😉 For me this ‘secrecy’ policy is still the height of denial. They have nothing to fear from other companies, in terms… Read more »
I could see these as an replacement for regular Necron Warrors. Just swap the heads. More dynamic legs and the guns look better. I’m also glad that GW decided to move away from the clear plastic rods. I never saw the point of them.
cant wait to field 20 of these in my army
These guys are the best looking of the lot, in my opinion.
I just came back for another look and Images removed at request of copyright owner? When did that happen? GW must be pissed…
We have a standard proceedure and policy any copyright owner can follow here: http://www.beastsofwar.com/copyright-trademarks/
So I wouldn’t read too much into it 🙂
I like the new look necrons…all in black like they are under dustsheets 😉
I was wondering when a request might arrive…..
