Mike's back with Andy to bring you more Infinity tips. This time BoW Justin got one of his question's answered and its one that's been bugging him since Andy keeps wiping out his Japanese with his ALEPH... thats right!
Today Justin will finally I find out how to kill Achilles...!
Any chance you guys can do a full demo game of Infinity?
We could probably do one at some point, but we’d need to limit the game to about 150pts, just to keep the time down.
Although if any of us play agasint Mike, it’s all over very quickly anyway.
Any size game would be great. I really want to get into infinity and have a couple of armies and the rule books, but i show the books to my mates and they just dont get it. So being able to show them a game would work wonders.
I don’t see any issue with 150 pts games, especially for demo games.
Awesome vid. Looks like you raided Darrell’s desk for some terrain.
How cool would it be to take your new space board and place some dwarven forge sci fi corridors on it.
Could even have a huge Aleph ship with a small Nomad ship docked alongside it. Sort of a strike force type mission. Hack the ships main AI computer and get your hacker back to the ship alive.
That’s not a bad idea… I’m sure we have some Hirst Arts moulds around somewhere… I think we have the sci-fi set.
Grr ! You make me regret no having a Yu-Jing force… I chose Nomads because Justin already has Yu-Jing… Oh well. At least I’ll have the advantage of looking fabulous on the battlefield.
BoW Romain
Don’t worry Romain, your Nomads have a Chimera… Natural Born Warrior and a Viral CCW… not quite an Oniwaban, but nearly as good and cheaper at 21pts.
Plus the Chimera can bring Pupniks for 1pt each, that are really cool close combat troops.
Furries for the win!
Indeed.
Plus why just win when you can win in style?
Gotta search through my Haqqislam list now to see which units can have monofilament.
Only the most advanced factions have access to the very uncommon and exotic monofilament ammo: Aleph, Combined Army, PanOceania and YuJing.
Units wielding monofilament weapons:
-Sierra Drone with monofilament mines option (PanO)
-Naga with monofilament mines option (Aleph)
-Zayin Rebot with monofilament mines option (Aleph)
-Speculo Killer, wears monofilament CCW (CA)
-Q-Drone with monofilament mines option (CA)
-Oniwaban, wears monofilament CCW (YuJing)
-Oniwaban Shinobu Kitsune, wears monofilament CCW (YuJing)
-Crane Rank Imperial Agent, wears monofilament CCW (YuJing)
By the way, Monofilament mines are more devastating and far easy to use than monofilament CCW, which are more risky.
My bad I forgot:
-Charontid, with monofilament CCW option(CA)
-Anathematic, with monofilament CCW option(CA)
-Skiavoros, with monofilament CCW option(CA)
-Malignos, with monofilament mines option(CA)
-Pheasant Rank Imperial Agent, wears monofilament CCW (YuJing)
Yep, as you can see the evil aliens are masters in this tech and the asians sure make fine cutting swords XD
Sweet video,
everytime i watch one of these videos I feel like I understand the game more and more lol
Now if i only had some players in my area I would be golden to rumble 🙂
There’s already some great tutorials out there but it’s really best to just get stuck in. Try and get it wrong! Many times lol.
I have the Ariadna and PanO, what are good choices to deal with Achilles from both forces?
Just to clarify what was discussed in the vid and what I’ve read in the rules. If a TAG with 3 STR is hit with a monofilament CCW he gets no ARM, must resist Damage 12 and if he fails is destroyed?
If so…WOW!
That’s it. I have a question about the rules that is often an issue in game with an Oniwaban. The Oniwaban is on the table as a Camo token and is going to engage a target in contact. The target and an other enemy mini have a line of sight. The Oniwaban declare move as its first action, both the target and the other enemy don’t declare ARO. The Oniwaban declare it’s second action, swing. The question is: what ARO can use the target and the enemy model and how are resolve the tests? From my understanding, the target can… Read more »
id be interested in others take on this
IMO
if the oniwaban is in cammo then it moves, the ARO is to spot it, then it smacks you…i didnt think you could react to the second part of the order
quote from unofficial re edit: Figures in the Reactive player’s army may act in the Active player’s turn to answer the use of an Order by the active player, only against the miniature that is activated by that Order. The reaction is always to the Order, and not to the Skills that constitute it. In other words, if a miniature moves and shoots in the same Order, the enemy’s fi gure obtains one ARO, not two. the tricky bit: If new figures without ARO obtain a LoF to the acting miniature as a result of the second Short Skill, they… Read more »
