Two New Minis from Micro Arts Studios
February 26, 2011 by beerogre
Here's another two miniatures from Micro Arts Studios.
First is Thomas Rockhart Jr. a cheeky steampunk miniature for the Wolsung range.
Next is Officer Sarah Anderson. an armoured sci-fi woman (call her a chick at your own risk!) who wouldn't look out of place in an Infinity or hard sci-fi game.
Does anyone know anything about Wolsung?
Apparently it's a Polish Steampunk RPG... do they do an English translation?

You can find out more about Wolsung on the website for the english version here :
http://www.steampulpfantasy.com/
A booklet with basic rules is available, as well as an introduction to the world (subscribers only), and there are numerous interesting posts on the website… While the basic rules are in PDF form, sample characters and other nuggets (places, etc.) are scattered throughout this blog-styled website.
The universe seems very well imagined, a XIXth century fantasy-steampunk Europe in a world of dangers, magic and Terra Incognita… As for the system, it looks very cinematic : It uses dice for simple tests, but extra effects occur when you succeed beyond the basic difficulty level… And the more you go over, the better.
Players also each have a pool of “tokens” they can basically use like the action points or hero points of other RPG systems… And each player also has a hand of cards (simple playing cards can be used, apparently), which can change the order of combat, give clues to the players, and even introduce new elements to the story !
They’ll do a full english translation if enough people are interested, so… Spread the news !

The above is the link to a boardgame, set in the same universe. The minis, however, are produced for the RPG.
