Meridian Miniatures Start Up The Sci-Fi Drum Beat
May 7, 2013 by brennon
Meridian Miniatures are still doing incredibly well with their Steampunk/Sci-Fi Soldiers. Check out some more concept art, work-in-progress sculpts and even a painted miniature too!
Above you can see the first painted miniature for the Experimental Regiments along with the Standard Bearer and Drummer for a whole squad of these soldiers. I'm really liking the character that comes across in these models and it'll be fun to see them all painted up.
As well as the miniatures there are a pair of concept art pieces for the British and Prussian soldiers. Again we have a distinct style here that leans towards comic book animation. The art itself is by Paul Gallagher if you're interested!
What do you think of the Meridian line?

could be useful for dystopian legions or praetorian IG
My thoughts exactly.
i was gonna say the same thing 😀
Since it’s steampunk, the musician should have a kettle drum.
Battle stops at 3:00pm while the officers have a nice cuppa with cucumber sarnies. (Crusts cut orf don’tchya know old fruit) Recommences 15:30 hours!
Like the Grennwich 1st Experimental.
These chaps are looking jolly D
The minis will be kickstarted next month. They do look splendid.
