Mechanised Gladiators From the World of Scibor Miniatures
August 30, 2012 by brennon
Scibor Miniatures have gone back to tinkering with armour and created this massive piece of resin. Check out the 28mm Sci-Fi Roman Gladiator Mech Suit below...
Lots of detail plastered over the hull of this mechanical beast and it has an interchangeable head there for a bit more customisation. I'm in two minds about the Mech Suits from Scibor Miniatures. Something about them doesn't feel right to me.
What do you think about the Mech Suits?

That thing is huge!
Overall I am not a fan of the style. I think my biggest dislike is the positioning and height of the Shoulder mounts/joints.
i have the celtic suit for my space wolves army and it is indeed huge. its over twice as big as a gw dread
I’m not a fan of this look either. Can’t put my finger on it, though. It just really looks cobbled together.
The way I see this is they came up with a template model and add the different looks to it. The only real issue is the arms as some have mentioned before. In this case it look better with big halberd instead of the fist.
I would like to see what an Orkney player could do with this suit – this would be an excellent proxy for a looted dreadnaught
I like it a lot more than GW’s dreads. I’d want to lower the shoulders due to the “headless” nature of it, myself. If it was half the height to sub in for GW dreads more nicely, I’d be a fan.
Awesome! Scibor is really hitting the nailon the head. Love these things 🙂
