New Mech for Gruntz 15mm Warfare.

This is currently a work in progress, but by the sounds of things, the possibility of a range of 15mm scale Gruntz miniatures is on the cards...
From the Gruntz webpage:
This 15mm Mech is the first in a potential line of models for the Gruntz game. I am not accepting pre-orders yet because the details of production are still to be settled. It is based on the Imperator mech from the Gruntz rules and should be the first of a line of mecha that are built for the game.
We should be doing a review of the Gruntz game game quite soon... so stay tuned!
I always enjoy seeing new mech/walker models because I feel they are rather under represented.
Not to mention they can usually be used in pretty much any scale game going from small bots in 54mm+ to giant warmachines in 2-6mm games.
I agree, chances are this model will be about 30mm+ tall (even at 15mm) making it perfect for battle robots, or maybe even an armoured trooper for some Weird World War 2 or near future skirmish.
I played a bit of Gruntz the other day, and this would have been useful then. Pesky reinforcements turning up late again…
How did it play ?
It played smoothly enough. When I said I played “a bit”, I took over from a mate of mine when he had to go part way through, so it was simple enough that I could pick it up in less than a turn. It’s generic stats and so on that you tailor to whatever models you want (as far as I understand) which is a concept liked by some and loathed by others. Not a bad system.
