Maki Games Show Off More Terrain Due For Kickstarter
May 7, 2013 by brennon
You might remember that last week we had a bit of a preview from Maki Games surrounding their terrain Kickstarter that should be starting soon. So in the spirit of keeping things terrain related this morning check out some of their Makitainers (Containers)...
So it looks like they follow a modular design allowing you to stack them at different lengths and heights. The design is also distinctly inspired by Warhammer 40,000 it seems and with the amount of industrial complexes you fight in with that game, these would be perfect.
I hope there is more on offer than just the containers, or the company at least has other things in the pipeline. It'd be good to see them take this Gothic feel and attach it to a different type of structure.
Will you be keeping an eye on this one?
Skull Containers? Add some hexagons, cogs and runes and they work in every game.
Yeah, I think they’re missing a trick by aiming their terrain at purely a 40K audience. Make them a bit more generic, or offer different styles and they’d probably find a lot more people would get on board.
Or make them somewhat customable. Sell a basic frame with differently styled panels. You could make gothic skifi, clean skifi and modern panels. Later you could expand with separate panels with more specific accessories, like computer screens and such, and whole different sets, like corrupted, bio- and crystal growth infected.
Why have they watermarked their own image? – It would be nice to see the product with out this distraction.
There’s plenty more on the market without the limitations the Skull motif imposes. I do like the opening door though.
Hmm seems they are dutch, that wil keep my shipping down to a minimum. Verry interresting
These are just concepts. If we bug them enough on the kickstarter, they will turn out other designs 🙂
In the the Grim Darkness of the far future there is only… the safe conveyance of goods across the warp?
lol guess so.
