You seem to have overlooked a large Necron Royal court, which will deal with most things in your top 10. Wraiths with coils are mean too….
Not to mention that some of the gear you outfit crypteks with can cause your opponent a massive headache.
I agree, however my royal court have always done a lot more damage than the wraiths.
The 6ed has made necron lords with warscythes and 2+ ridiculously good now, also with all of them having the ever-living rule?? they always get chances to back up 🙂
I know u ruled out GK termies, but GK paladins with Apothecary, deep stike, feel no pain, fearless, a whole but load of look out sirs, = looking out for psycannon dudes. many weapon options, ie 2++ in CC, and then swords for a 4++ all round. plus they got their own wee mob munching psychic power strength 5 large blast. thoughts?
As far as I know they got rid of character units so you can’t have them all using look out sir! anymore. Other than that they’re cool.
Flamers of Tzeentch don’t have 2 wounds and aren’t eternal warriors(not that it matters with 1 wound) The Demon rule only gives them 5+inv and fearless. Unless i’m missing something in the codex and i’m sorry if i am. But IMO they are a great unit just not as great as they would be with 2 wounds and EW.
the daemon rule in the chaos daemon codex grants ALL daemons fearless , daemon & eternal warrior special rule. it says that on the army specific rules page.
Your right, my bad. I didn’t read everything under “Invulnerable”. Sorry, I had a feeling I missed something. But it doesn’t make much difference with only one wound.
Flamers now have 2 wounds, it was changed in a WD update from a few months ago.
Wow, I humbly apologize. But I’m glad I’m wrong cause now they are def worth adding as allies. thanks.
oh White dwarf updated them. They did lose their 4++ but they do have 2wounds now and are cheaper. Can’t take bolt anymore.
My standard answer to TH/SS terminators is Arco-Flagellents. 4 attacks each hitting on 3’s and wounding on 3’s, they will drown terminators in attacks. Include an inquisitor with psychotroke, rad, and presence, and those terminators are in some serious danger.
5 Wyches in a Venom with haywiregrenades for all your tank hunting needs 🙂
crap?! I demand my satisfaction! warriors and zoanthropes can deal with anything
nice video,
no.1 TH/SS unit is the best 10 man squad in the game but it is also the most expensive. For the same points cost you could get nearly 80 ork boyz… that’s 320 attacks to 30 (admittedly not in the same combat).
Warmachine top 10 please 🙂
chaos bikers with mark of nurgle & icon of vengeance. fearless bikes with toughness 6? yes please…
A fully pimped out royal court with all the options bought would deal with anything. It would cost 2/3rds to 3/4ths of your army points, but what a unit 🙂
I’m not up on necrons really, but isn’t a royal court basically a unit of lots of different character types, so doesn’t qualify for the vid?
but I agree, if the top ten included units like this, then yes, it would be extremely uber!
Ygmarl Genestealers, anyone?
They are great in 6th edition.
easily gunned down though…
No Screamers of Tzeentch?
By far one of the most deadly units in 40k now, a squad of 9 of these is the bane of most players.
Not played much 6th but what happened to Nob Bikers ? Ok they lost the wound allocation benefit but with the toughness 5 and a pain boy for feel-no-pain they are still a hard hitting unit that isn’t that easy to kill.
ive been using nob bikers with great success so far. they are more mobile and still hard to take down completely without using up a lot of the enemy to do it with, wazdaka makes them a real threat and he gets lucky sometimes with those strength 8 shots. I think nob bikers are still up there
not as good points wise but vanguard veteran squad all with thunder hammers and storm shield combo plus jump packs hard hitting fast unit. did i mention BA sanguinary priest furious charge =]
and feel no pain goodness
Great vid guys always a good laugh to watch, deff a good top ten list with many strong choices.
TH/T are always a pain spec in a landraider coming across the field, look forward to seeing more vids maybe a top ten wepons or charaters. ps that tac with the ethereal is a laugh got my bro with it and deff helps out.
noooooo…..land speeders are amazing now they’re fast attack so you’re not loosing much and they’re only 60 points for 2 heavy flamers……
they’re just amaizing in 6th edition they sit behind a rock then just fly over it causing a good 15 hits each and if you have vulkan then they’re the best skimmer in my opinion
Chaos terminators should be in the top 10 there better then the Storm-shield termi guys because there more versatile and you can give them a mark that gives them a 4+ invulnerable save, they can have a power axe for free and combi weapon at the same time ! they have 2 chances of killing the termies or all other stuff Hmm chaos termies are great but i know a even better delete unit nids are not that bad. 6th edition made a few things better. The gargoyle For 6 points you get a jump troop. (that can deep strike… Read more »
Suprised the Broadsides didn’t make the list. 70 pts each with a str 10 ap 1 twin-linked 72inch gun? For 15 more points each add twin-linked plasma and the ability to shoot all of the above. 35 more points for a sarge and a couple of throw away shield drones. And now that ethereal makes you reroll the 1s to wound? Not great against large mobs, but hysterically funny against anyone who blunders into rapid fire range. 9 shots, twin-linked, wounding on 2s ap 1 and 2.
Bit pricey though. 290 pts ouch.
i love the purifiers with crow don’t worry about all that other nonsense with a 10 man squad of purifiers 4 incinerators and psi bolt ammo a thunder hammer mc and there psi power anyone who charges them is going to die the unit is relatively cheap they are power armor force weapon stormbolter whats not to love
Excellent video guys, any chance on a top 10 untis in Warhammer ?
where’s the tervigon? that should be in the list even if at the tenth slot
tervigon should at least contest tenth spot, and what about black templar crusader squad, 10 initiates, 1 with power weapon or fist and bolt pistol, 8 with chainswords and bolt pistols, a flamer and 5 neophytes armed with bolt pistols, in a land raider crusader,so you have the charge with assault grenades, 44 attacks on the charge, and as the army has to take an emperors champ, why not take the vowel of accept any challange no matter the odds, now on the charge you 59 attacks, enjoy
