Kromlech’s Orc Tank Commander Gets Out and Walks
July 2, 2012 by dracs
Some of you may remember Kromlech's awesome Orc tank crew minis, the prfect way to convert your tanks and give them some real orcy character.
Well it looks like even Orcs occasionally have to get out and walk as Kromlech have posted up images of this work-in-progress on their Facebook.
This great sculpt provides a brilliant figure of authority to guide your mighty Waaagh!, calmly surveying the battle field before hopping into his looted tank to charge screaming into the foe.
Do you think this guy would be appropriate as an Ork commander, or is he just a little to calm?
With the narrowed eyes and clenched fingers this guy definitely looks as though he’s planning an attack rather than just making an attack – it’s not very Orky in the Warhammer sense but this is still a well sculpted piece and in fact the idea of an Ork that thinks in addition to their natural strength is pretty scary. He seems almost educated, as though he fits the Warpath Marauder fluff better than the 40K fluff so I think he’d be great in a themed army that uses less of the open mouthed ‘raging’ heads available to Orks.
Sorry @thc303 I think thats the zipper of the great coat, not his fingers. Still looks great mind you.
Comparing with the legless commander I see what you mean, his hands must be tucked into the coat close to the zipper. Threw me off a bit – he needs some paint on him! 🙂
Where are his legs?
Its a long coat cpauls1. Im thinking of converting my Baneblade into something a bit more orky. I was thinking making platforms on top of the veicle, and this mini looks like it would work as a crowning detail, a ork panzer kommander, proud of his tank.
