Knight Models Unveil Their Immortal Liam Neeson
May 10, 2013 by dracs
He is one of Batman's deadliest enemies. Cunning and ruthless, he knows the identity of the great detective and commands the forces of the League of Assassins. He is Liam Neeson.
OK, really it is Ra's al Ghul, but from this green it appears that Knight Models are drawing more upon his suave depiction by Liam Neeson in the recent Batman films.
Made nigh immortal by his mastery of the Lazarus Pits, Ra's al Ghul will be leading the League of Assassins (or the League of Shadows as they were renamed in the films) to take Arkham City. Their inclusion could make for an interesting new faction to choose from, given that they prefer to use methods of stealth as opposed to the more blunt enforcers employed by the other villains.
Are these the baddies for you?

Thats rather nice presentation of how he looked like in Nolan’s movies.
Sold!
I’ve been waiting for this one before I bought any batman minis. Now I just need to find a few US retailers to compare shipping.
I understand why KM are drawing their design inspiration from the Nolan movies but it’s killing my interest in the product.
For the most part they draw upon the character designs used in Arkham City
“For the most part they draw upon the character designs used in Arkham City”
Indeed they do and I had that in the first draft of my post and then deleted it because it got in the way a bit. I’m not a massive fan of basing them on a console game either though it’s much preferable to the Nolan films. I also understand why they would draw on that license as well as the films. Either way I’ve no wish to mino-game either the Nolan films or the Arkham console games.
I don’t know… Some things from the movies, I like, others, I don’t.
I agree Knight Models have a distinct “take” on the characters they depict. I always found their Superman and Luthor both a little too thick and blunt for my tastes, for example, as they are inspired by a certain style of drawing and a certain continuity for the series… Same thing with Thor. If you don’t like what they take inspiration from, you just get frustrated.
Really nice
Really really nice
impressive piece.
I like this model, even though the pose is simple, it still looks good.
I’m not the biggest fan of superheroes, but Knight Models has peaked my interest for a Batman game.
