Will You Kickstart Sedition Wars: Battle for Alabaster?

Sedition Wars: Battle for Alabaster is a single boxed game with a lot of potential which is now ready for Kickstarter. Created by the minds at Studio McVey and with the backing of Cool Mini or Not! this game looks set to plunge gamers into a world of Sci-Fi mutation and horror...
When a vessel goes dark the Vanguard are sent to find out what has happened and put down the Rebels they expect have taken over. Little do they know they are about to encounter an intelligent and highly evolved Nano-Virus called The Strain. This is Survival Horror at its board game best...
With an interesting Reactive mechanic, 9 missions to run through and all these beautiful miniatures to paint up its going to appeal to a pretty large fan base. So that's why they have introduced a Kickstarter to help you feel like part of the process and realise some Sedition Wars dreams.
Does this seem like a game you might get behind in Kickstarter?

This is almost every model in the line. This seems like a game well worth the cost.
Simply put, this looks like extremely impressive work. The minis were always stunning, but now they have a game to use them in with high quality components too. Sci-fi survival horror might be the next big thing – there’s also Project Pandora and later this year Level 7 – here’s hoping Zombicide and Ogre didn’t swallow all the funds so this can get the support it so richly deserves.
Also…is it me or does Mike have cue cards for that intro? 😉
The Strain look awesome.
I guess the funding goal will be reached day one during the night.
The game is pretty cheap, considering the number and quality of the models, but i want to know how it plays ! Hope they’ll make a video update soon. Anyways, good luck !
It’s Dead Space on the table.
I have every confidence that this will be amazingly succesfull, but I can’t halp thinking that those game tiles look far too big and will result in very ‘samey’ game boards.
Hehe. Just noticed that it made it’s target in less than 6 hours. lol
It would be cool if in addition to scenarios, they include game types like elimination, capture the flag, etc to add to replay ability.
Another company that – instead of risking profit – holds their hand out for donations. This seems to keep popping up more and more. Honestly they are an already decent company that has great products, yet they are not willing to put any risk into further developing their products. The slew of minis you get with this is really impressive, but the board itself, not so much.
