Infinity Insider Pics – Karakuri Special Project
September 14, 2011 by lloyd
Here’s an Infinity preview of the “Karakuri Special Project” which is set to be a three miniature box set that will replace the current existing blister of one single miniature.
Karakuris are Japanese styled robots for the Yu Jing army and can be used in a three unit fireteam.
Watch out for these soon as the have a rumored release date of sometime in September!
Gah! Just when I thought my JSA force collection was complete!!! Damn you Corvus Belli damn you to hell…
The previous Karakuri is one of my favourite miniatures in the game. This is so not fair I’ll be bankrupt soon.
That’s bloody marvellous !
Such finesse… I’ve rarely seen anything like it.

hm excellent idea. 3 miniatures boxed set, not this is not only intresting but also opens one hell of possibilities.
Those will just be cool to paint. Even if they never see a table top I think they would look good on anyone’s shelf
Lovely models, and like some of the posters above: possibly my favourites in the JSA. It looks like 2 new ones plus the original sculpt rather than 3 new ones, which is a little bit of a shame. New paint jobs though.
They can even do girly robots and make them look good.
And I just received my other 2 Karakuri’s in the mail last week! doh!
Asian themed i-robots really look good.
Do want!
i wish i could get my white like that 🙁
You have two options
1. Really thin down the white and use about 10 to 15 coats to slowly build it up. ( there were times I used about 32 to get it perfect )
2. Use an airbrush. ( What I use now )
It’s very possible as I have done it it just takes awhile as most whites get notoriously clumpy unless they are thinned to all hell. Hope this helps.
Wow! Those are some fine minis.
I love these, they remind me of the cool but also slightly disturbing robots from that Bjork video 🙂
