Kabuki’s Rommel-X Gets an Adversary in Patton-X!
September 21, 2012 by brennon
Kabuki Models have posted this very basic preview of the upcoming Patton-X who will be facing off against Rommel-X in the alternative future world they have created. Check out the sneak peek below...
Even at this stage and from this image it looks like he has some awesome detail to him. I can't wait to see the full model, it might even be better than Rommel!
Who would you back, Rommel or Patton?
Let me know your choice below!
both look epic but i’m backing Rommel i can’t stand chickenhawk generals that get there own men killed for personal glory like patton
i would like to see montgomery and david sterling
This will be a great one no doubt.
Hmmm…note how they’ve cropped the photo above where Rommel had potato mashers strapped to his leg. By extension I’m guessing Patton will have some pineapple grenades hanging off each boot lol.
I’m not a Patton fan but Montgomery? No. My grandmother could have won at El Alamein with that kind of materiel superiority. And let’s not forget who masterminded that lovely single-axis ‘Market Garden’ campaign. Maybe Zhukov would be a better choice, if only because he was never murdered by Stalin lol.
Your conspiracy theory obsession with exploding fruits and vegetable has become suspicious 😉 I assure you that Patton will be fruit free and the cropping is a result of the figure not being finished.
There are a lot of great candidates to be “remixed,” but the challenge is finding the ones that are widely recognized. I did my degree in history, so I’d love to see all of the characters mentioned, but, you know, other people don’t share our enthusiasm for the characters that have helped shape the world we live it 😛 Zhukov would awesome.
Now you’ve gone and got me to thinking :-). If we’re allowed a vote I’d love to see a gaunt cyber-Kluge in a leather trench coat. Or maybe a de Gaulle model with his arms raised trying to stop a rout!
I vote “yes, please” for both, ESPECIALLY de Gaulle.
I am all for a Zhukov model! Montgomery, no. Blundering imbeciles don’t work for me – Sit down Himmler, that wasn’t a request!
Patton-X is turning out great and I do like the Rommel-X figure. A nice combo!
Montgomery was the Allied ground forces commander of Overlord his forces faced off against the strongest and largest concentration of german armour at caen to give the us forces breathing space to do the outflanking manoeuvre planned it took Monty as long to get to Caen as it took Bradley to cover the last 5 miles to St Lo. A man that took Normandy ten days ahead of schedule and Monty never wasted men’s lives However none of this will have any effect on the generation brought up on the film Patton and decades of unjustified character assassination of Montgomery.… Read more »
No belittling of our forefathers intended. This is not really the appropriate forum, so I’ll try to keep this brief and not cloud the issue with facts. My father fought through Normandy. Not wasteful of men? Canadian infantry regiments suffered 25% casualties daily during the six-week period following the landings. Monty was always willing to fight to the last Canadian. Our boys hated him. We still study this battle at RMC. Caen was a D-day objective, and a Canadian armoured unit actually entered the city that day, reported that it was undefended, but were told to withdraw to keep the line… Read more »
