Kabuki Models Hail the Steel Knight

Continuing their Knights of Legend series Kabuki Models have released some preview shots of the Steel Knight. Check him out in all his glory below...
Another great looking warrior of legend for the Kabuki range. Nice dynamic pose with plenty of detail across the models armour. The only piece I am a little put off by is his cloak/cape, it doesn't appear to flow right?
He will be limited to 500 pieces and available in the second half of June.
Not long to wait, but is this the Knight for you?
That’s a full coverage model. It might be a little to much for the average painter but will be a good challenge for pros. The backpack with the faces is nifty as well it looks like this guy has cornrows in his hair 🙂
Thats one extremely detailed model right there. I must admit that I am among those painters that could never even dream to make justice to this one.
‘Steel’ Knight means he’s either Ferrus Manus or Perturabo, and I’m going with the latter. He has the Imperial aquila on his armour, but there are subtle touches like the strange expressions in the faces on his back and hammer that hint at the taint of Chaos. It’s a great looking model with very ornate armour, though perhaps the way the chain cloak waves doesn’t quite work with the motion of his pose.
It feels like it should be flowing away from him towards the weapon arm as if he is moving into the wind or something. I don’t know how it would realistically work but as it is it feels a bit tacked on.

I was so excited to receive it, but when I did I was really disappointed. I expected the scale to be larger than 40k and although the body was, the head was tiny in comparison. The resin base required some work and considering the price, I couldn’t help but feel let down. I have heard that Kabuki changed sculptor since the Millennium Knight, so I don’t know about the later models. Either… Read more »
