Kabuki Models Gift Rommel-X With An Army
February 13, 2013 by brennon
Everyone was fairly in love with Rommel-X from Kabuki Models when it came out, and now they have ideas for an army that will follow in his wake. Check out Rommel-X's soldiers below...
As you can see the miniatures will follow the same aesthetic choices concerning the armour and it might even have taken a little bit of inspiration from Killzone. These are going to look rather good I think and here's hoping you can buy a few of them.
They have also nearly finished their Steam Knight as you can see above. Another Not-Primach model that I know a few of you are a bit sick of, but it does look rather flashy.
Kabuki Models are certainly becoming a big hit with folks so it will be fun to see what else they come up with in the future.
What do you think of these two previews?
The Romel-X troops are looking bad boy. Here’s hoping for a plastic / resin set of 10 or 20. I’d deffo build a force of them. Me likey.
The Rommel-X troops are looking good. If the previous sculpts are anything to go by then we have some winners on our hands.
I’m with the others. This is a good beginning for some super cool troops. We can only hope for a plastic/resin kit.
I think I was the only person on here to like Rommel X, these troops look boss too! 🙂
Nice motion in this model. Would like to see a few more angles before casting a full opinion though. Wondering what the pipes are near his left (picture right) elbow.
hi, here you have more screens : http://irek3d.blogspot.com/
rest thing will be done after print (posing, adding clothes etc)
I love what I see on the renders however…
Is it just me, or are “WW2 Germans IN SPAAAAAAAAACE!” becoming the new “not-space marines”? It seems like everyone is making them now.
Off the top of my head, there’s:
Wargames Factory’s Greatcoat Shock Troops,
Dreamforge’s Eisenkern,
Pig Iron Productions’ Kolony Militia,
Forgeworld’s Death Korps of Kreig,
and these guys.
There are any number of parts sites that offer enough in the way of greatcoat bodies and falschirmjaeger helmetted heads to make the same sort of thing.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the aesthetic, but can the market support it all?
(btw, I hope so)
Ok so a Helgast themed IG army would look Boss.
Just need to find the time and money.
