Kabuki Come Closer To Releasing Their Steam Knight
February 5, 2013 by brennon
Kabuki Models don't just explore fairy tales for their miniatures but also look to the stars and the world of Sci-Fi. We saw a very early shot of this new Steam Knight a week or so ago but now the sculpt has come on leaps and bounds...
I do like the look of this warrior from the skies. The armour looks nice and ornate, with plenty of detail etched into its surface. Added to that the hooded face gives him a dread, mysterious quality. Could this be another great Not-Primarch for the world of Warhammer 40,000?
I can certainly see him leading a legion of marines into battle.
Does this preview get your shiny syndrome going?
While the figure knocks spots off GW’s own Space Marine and shows that they don’t do the best models any more (controversial!) I am starting to feel like a few other BoW members who have recently expressed boredom with not-hammer models.
I understand the logic of it as I have argued elsewhere, but I do see why people are rather cynical about a policy of producing not-hammer figures.
I’ve seen most of the steam knights from them and to be honest for heroic takes on the prime arcs they mostly looked bland. I like the high detailed other models from them.
