Pig Iron Productions is expanding the System Troopers range with squad leaders and a selection of alternative heads.
The Squad Leaders contain 4 different figures in waving and pointing poses which you can use to command to your platoons.
Meanwhile, the various alternative heads sets let you customise your unit to make them stand out from the rest of your force.
- ST.3 System trooper squad leaders
- HD.17 System Trooper Alternative heads
- HD.18 System Trooper Alternative heads
- HD.19 System Trooper Alternative heads
We covered this range in On the Table last year and it’s good to see it expanding. We hear that there’s more to come, with snipers and command models.

Hmm a cheaper option for IG Storm Troopers? 😀
I’ve seen the heads used on Space Marine Scouts to give them a different look. Turned out pretty good.
Storm troopers or maybe carapace armoured vets. The special weapons troopers look like they’d be pretty easy to convert into either 40k special weapons troopers or pistol and ccw sergeants, which is pretty much mandatory for the vets though with storm troopers you only have to if you give him other weapons since he, the Rough Rider Sergeant and the Ogryn bone ‘ead are the only squad leaders in the IG list that come with the same kit as the troopers before options.
Thats a nice range Pig Iron have with a lot of versatility and not unreasonably priced either. They would definitely be worth a look for conversions of IG etc. The head sprues look particularly good
Halo any1?
Yeah I think so to 🙂
Ah, I’m not the only one who took a look at them and immediately thought “28mm Spartans”?
I’ve fancied picking up some of these for a while. I must get my BTs finished to I can order some.
They’ll keep fighting… And they’ll win !
the vizors look really spacey and i want to buy them !!! 😀
Metal or plastic?
Metal.
I painted up some of their militia figures last year, and I like them a lot. Now that I’m a better painter, I either want to strip my current models or get some more and have a go.
i like the starship troopers reference in the title…
