Ironwind Metals Mech Up For Battle!
July 17, 2012 by brennon
Ironwind Metals have a pair of Mechs ready to take to the battlefield and cause utter havoc. Hauberk Commando Mechs are stomping out of their workshop ready for Historicon!
Some pretty awesome looking Mechs I have to say. Loving the arm cannons and the huge rocket mounted on the shoulder. Both of these are in 28mm scale too so perfect for adding to most war games!
Would you add them to your army, and if so as what?
These are not Mechs. They are Battle Armorurs in 28 mm scale.
Mech Suit – Battle Armour, same thing to me, at least from MechAssault Lone Wolf lol. 😉

Not really. BattleMechs and OmniMechs or mechs for short as they are refered to are 12 meters tall walking tanks while Battle Armor are used by Battle Armor infantry. You see mechs are piloted by mechwarriors so there is difference between them and lot smaller battle armor without forgeting ProtoMechs that are kinda like hyprid of those two. Arcade style console game might not be best point of reference unlike Battletech source books and technical readouts.
There’s nothing like a nerd for splitting iron filings! lol
Wish I knew how tall they are.
I like the look of these, i find some battle tech stuff really ugly. These are nice…..but are they mechs or battle suits??

If the size of the miniature is right, this could easily double as mech. Would be cool if Iron Wind Metals were to release more of the suits in the future, but I think I would like to see more updates to the current Battletech mechs.
