I picked up a copy of the book last week. It’s really, really cool looking and very clear to read and understand. I’m really looking forward to getting my figures together so I can start playing.

What is the background for the Sefadu?
I would like to see a demo game of this. The minis look awesome and I would consider buying into this brand.
Wow, Just seen the mercs minis on the website, I must say they look really cool-gunna give game a go!
I’ll second Adam on the book, the quality is top notch! and the layout and graphics are superb! I just carn’t decide what corp to start with!!
I invested in MERCS a few months back and have never regretted it. Its a great tactical game that still manages to be rules light. I highly recommend that you play the game using the advanced combat maneuvers (they are not that complicated and add a lot to the game) and browse the errata/faqs on the mercsminis.com forums. I would had a few more important things ; 1) Because positioning is very important in MERCS you should always play with a very symetric scenery (see their maps they’re all fairly symetrical) or there is a chance to unbalance the game 2) The game mecanisms are easy to learn but the learning curve is a bit steep because you’ll need to practice a lot to master the tactical aspects of positioning, bonus stacking etc… A new player has good chances to be wipped out easily by an experienced player. Same for certain factions against other factions which are designed… Read more »
Can’t wait to get into this when I can afford it, still not sure what faction I’ll buy though. Really appreciate the models, backround and rules though – it all seems really tight and a breath of fresh air. Hard sci-fi is one of my favourite genres too – wouldnt mind seeing some influences from Star Cops, Arthur C Clarke and Olaf Stapledon in the future if they do more factions.
Just a general comment that Adam did a great job at Gencon.
Thanks for the content, almost as good as being there…one day!
