Infinity Walkways from Micro Arts Studio
May 19, 2011 by beerogre
Laser Cut board seems to be all the rage at the moment, there seems to be more and more companies using it and they're springing up every week.
However, terrain stalwarts, Micro Arts Studio have released a new range of walkways designed to be used with Infinity.
Just in case you don't know what I mean by laser cut board, here's a picture of a "sprue"...
These look like they'll be great to use and easy to build. A great addition to any Infinity game board.

I really hope this is going to be affordable.
(Don’t nean just for people who think FW stuff is bought with pin money lol)
Just that plenty of sets are going to be required.
Will just have to wait and see.
Sadly doesn’t quite fit the aesthetic of my Necro terrain WIP but I may be tempted regardless.
Great move by Micro Arts imho
I don’t know the price yet, but laser-cut board is supposed to be more affordable than resin or cement, and also easier to stick together and paint…

Tasty!!
If the price is right I’ll be getting some! can’t find it on their website yet though but would be great for 40k
There was a thumbnail on the right hand side of the page.
A “Watch this space” notice, so no price details yet
in fact it is a link to their Facebook page

I think this is nice for what ever type of industrial terrain you may have. Modern day and sci-fi. If I were to do the inside of a building or ship this would be fantastic.
Looks clean and easy to put together. What is it made of, some sort of plastic sheet?
I believe it’s corrugated wood of some kind… It’s light and durable.
This may not lend itself to more “natural” terrain, but this seems perfect for sci-fi terrain and other “manufactured” structures… For good reason !

Very “Deep Space Nine.” I like it!
very nice indeed ive been looking for something like this for necromunda as i got rid of all my old walkways.plus theres other stuff i want from them but like others have said depends od the price
It is most likely MDF (medium density fibre-board) That stuff is easy to lazer cut.
OMG each step must be at least 1/2 meter high, three steps and I would be knackered LOL
LOL But there is plenty of room so your metal models will be nice and steady. Am currently building terrain and which has largely been refurbishing some old level changes to my first ever landscape effort, that just about got away with plastic models with 20mm bases. 30mm top heavy metals …clunk…lol You also need to account for how far a model may move during gameplay to allow for it to be able to be positioned on a stable platform. Also have stalled on some Necromunda style terrain steps because it hasn’t been easy to synthesise the needs of gaming… Read more »
Nice! I dont know much about infinity but it would look good on a 40k factory game board
Its HDF (High density fibre-board) actually.
Man that is some nice terrain. Like others I wonder what the price will be. However looking at those models it does look very modular.
Forgot to say due to all the waffle in reply to Goth, that the more I look at these the more I like
These would be easy to convert with some plasticard as well to make it enclosed. So it would then provide cover. It would be pretty cool if it had a removable canopy of some sort.
Aye. So much potential for these kits. I love ’em.
It would also be really easy for them to release a version that had solid panels rather than open sided hand rails if they wanted to.
I really like the look of these, but the scale seems off. They seem a little too big.
They have to be if you think about it.
They have to be able to take the bases without the figures being propped up a stupid angles and falling off.
I think in this case it’s a matter of function over form. – What they are being used for outweighs the asthetic.
Personally, I love them the way they are.
A typical metal stair treader is going to be about 12-15″, which if my maths is correct works out at about 1/4″ on the model (15″ @ 1/56 scale ie 28mm).
The riser on a metal step will be no more than a couple of inches, which would work in scale using plastic, resin or metal but up goes the cost.
these would look great with my mecromuda scenery ew didnt gw make that game bin it lol
arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg
they look pretty good for almost any sci-fi game type. Like 40k
