A missile can merely be a projectile, in the general sense (anything thrown, lauched, hurled, self-propelled, etc.), while a rocket is a self propelled device with or without belligerent intent (it may be a vehicle, for example).

As for using one, I’ve had one in most lists I’ve run (working on adding a second) and whilst it has a slight amount of randomness in how effective it is its all worth it on those few times when you get 3 missiles with one shot all landing where you want them!
And as for the minimum range bit, it can fire directly and when it does so its treated as normal ordinance and ignores the minimum range, but you lose the cool stuff from barrage, so its a case of swings and roundabouts there…
does the elevating have some sort of pivot that makes it move up and down? Or do you have to glue it in a fixed postition?

If your careful with your glue the only bit you need to glue down are the two bits holding it all up, which means you can have it at the elevation that you want it to be at.
If you get a weapon destroyed can’t you say that the heavy flamer/stubber is destroyed? or is there a specific rule saying that you have to get rid of an un-launched rocket?
If a weapon is destroyed your opponent gets to choose the weapon, also from the way I read it you’d lose all your remaining missiles if they destroy the launcher, although I think there’s still a huger argument over that unless they FAQ’ed it since last time I used mine.
I almost bought one of these, cant remember why i didnt. Maybe i got distracted by one of the guys down games workshop and i ended up buying something else. No, i remember now, that was when i started grey knights, i bought the daemonhunter codex and some grey knight termies 🙂
