The Hunt of AvP Begins Tomorrow!
November 7, 2013 by dracs
Prodos Games have announced that the exciting new Aliens vs Predators Miniatures Game should hopefully be appearing on Kickstarter on the 8th November. In other words, we only have to wait until tomorrow.
This is a game which I know many of you are looking forward to and the previews we have already seen have definitely whet the appetite for what will be appearing on crowd funding.
We can't wait to see all the goodies and stretch goals which Prodos' new Kickstarter will bring with it, so everyone be sure to keep an eye out for when this thing goes live.
Are you planning on pledging your support?

Let’s see…
I have pledged for Mantic’s Deadzone, Escape by Taban, and Warboards. NOW THIS ARRIVES!!!!
I’ll be pledging for this as soon as it goes live, this looks too good to ignore. I think I need a bigger place…
Hope this will be more skirmish than large scale, scenario/story based and perhaps even with characters levelling in campaigns.. whatever the case, its looking sweeeet!
I heard it’s a Space Hulk type board game…Don’t quote me on that…That’s just what i read on the facebook page.
Brett
it starts tonight at midnight according to their facebook page.
No another cool model game 🙁 I’ll never save up to buy my own house. Might as well live in my moms basement forever then…
I’m in if I can just buy the minis!
Still not live….. Can’t wait ^^
I’ll take a look but I’m a bit cautious. Hopefully they will be more pragmatic with when they believe it will be released.
They did offer a good amount of goodies in their last KS and I see this one is being supported by CMON, so that is some pretty damn good support right there.
On a personal note I would rather have my WZR stuff before I support them again. It is supposed to be shipping out in droves over the next couple of weeks so we shall see.
A bit disappointed… Pretty expensive but I’ll check back at the end to see if its worth it.
I am very sad to have to agree with you on this. I am still hoping it does well, but not nearly as much WOW!! as I thought there would be. Initially I thought this would make £1m easy because of the IP and the awesome model close ups we got. Really am hoping that they really ramp up the quality of the other items in the box. I can also see people buying more than one box with there add-on allowance as the box sets of each faction squad can mount up to more than the price of the… Read more »
Glad I’m not the only one that thought this.
Models? Look awesome.
The board…kinda crappy to be honest. It may just be a test piece but as it stands now it is very disappointing.
And those costs are in pounds, which will really turn off the American backers. As I recall WZR wasn’t nearly as demanding on the wallet in terms of value.
I’ll of coarse keep watching, but I think I am going to pass….very underwhelmed. I’ll stick with my pledge for the wonderful Journey wrath of demons game and I am so looking forward to Megaman. So I am fine with passing….good luck to them though.

So far the detail on the sculpts look great (even if the Predator poses look a little strange) but I agree that it seems a little pricey right now and the game components – such as the board pieces – do not seem to be of the same standard of the miniatues. My gut tells me that they aren’t showing the actual tile art though.
Hmm anyone in the south west UK want to go halves on the “If it bleeds” pledge level? 😉
Oooh, spendy. Too spendy with that lame board – the resin tiles would be cool but that just makes it spendier. The Predators at 3 for 30 makes me say… I guess that’s not terrible. But then I have to put it into bucks and think… f* that, man (especially since a currency calculator is giving me numbers 20% higher than their estimates when they are considerate enough to list $).
Bummer.
Must agree with you guys and say I’m quite a bit underwhelmed at the moment, especially since I’m a huge fan of the franchise. Hopefully they can boost this enough to still make it worthwhile.
Yep. Just to chime in with the rapidly growing general consensus – too expensive.
The models look very nice, but £75 for 23 models and some pretty generic looking boards (only 4 of which seem to be rooms rather than corridors) leaves me very underwhelmed.
I think that the first stretch goal has simply made it possible to spend £10 for an extra figure.
I spent a comparable amount on Myth and am expecting A LOT of stuff in exchange. Reaper Bones 1 and 2…same again.
Kickstarter is getting too competitive for this to do big business. Prodos need to re-thing IMHO.
Want some candy 🙂
Oops.
Prodos needs to ‘re-think’
Same same, gotta agree here I’m afraid. Not got nearly the same buzz outta this KS as I did from others I’ve been a part of. Minis are incredible will give Prodos that, for sure, but I was expecting at least some info on the game itself, and the Hazziness over even the early stretch goals, brings a wrinkle to my brow. Surely the point of them is to give us a reason to feverishly drag other folk in to this so that we all benefit from unlocking cool new stuff? KS campaigns are all about entertainment and building excitement… Read more »
Horrible, horrible start to the campaign. Bungled from the start, crap stretch goals, zero value for money.
I suspect the reason the first stretch goal isn’t a freebie is they’ve did WZR and saw how they got burned a bit and are looking at more realistic levels we have to remember that prodos is a relatively new company , everybody wants a reaper KS but most company’s just cant pay that
look at reapers 2nd KS a lot more controlled with a lot of addons you had to buy rather than freebies.
The Bones 2 kickstarter was still pretty awesome value – even if you just went for the basic pledge.
Of course, who does that?…heh. No one can resist the extra shiny 🙂
Just like with the Warzone KS it seems Prodos have done the math and figured out how to get us some freebies.. so Facehuggers and a unit of your choice once we hit 100k as long as you backed at the £75 level or higher.
