Did You Head To Feast Of Blades Last Weekend?
October 16, 2013 by brennon
If you made your way to Feast of Blades last weekend (11th to 13th of October) then you might have bumped into Casey Roberts! He was there with his Tau and Ork alliance, something we've been covered in our Road to Feast of Blades series. Check out some images of the event below taken by him...
As you can see there appear to have been a lot of games being run, from Infinity to Warhammer 40,000 (of course!) at the event and with a variety of games you get an awesome selection of painted stuff too. I do like the look of that massive X-Wing game!
Hopefully once we get everything up and running properly you will be able to see some After Action Reports, something in the vein of what Warren and Dave did after their Flames of War tournament, showing you exactly what they thought of their various games.
Those last few pictures remind me of Games Day and Golden Daemon! So many Wraith knights all over the place, and I do like the look of that one with the skull emblazoned atop its helmet. Very epic.
So, did you go to Feast of Blades? If so we want you to drop some comments below talking about your experience be it as a gamer or as someone just going along for the fun of it.

Great looking photos. I wonder if Casey tried to also keep up with Dave and Warren’s post game drinking.
I wonder how Casey’s games went
Was there in the capacity of a judge for the Infinity tournament and it was a great event. I would say 80 to 90 percent of the prize support was given out randomly so if you were there you had a chance to win. It was bigger than last year and we have some great things in the works for next year.
Sneak preview: we meet or goal for win\losses.
I never got a chance to get a random prize, but there was tools or great looking stuff.
The attack on the Deathstar was insanely fun!… For the rebels. Although Biggs and Wedge didn’t exactly play or like in the movies.
Looks like games were played and not just sold .. good stuff!
Funny you bring that up, I was expecting there to be a lot more retailers selling stuff than there actually were. I think there was 4 retailers total and they had pretty small spaces.
Magnificent painting, and I have to confess a fondness for the Phantom titans.
I really enjoyed Feast of Blades! I played in the Apocalypse narrative which was very interesting. It’s the first time I’ve been able to bring a lot of my Eldar to bear on all their enemies and I was able to bring the pain with Phantoms, Scorpions, Cobras lots of flyers and more! I hope to see even more opponents next year!
I saw a ton or cool stuff going on that table. My puny 3000 points wouldhave beenlaughed ofthe table.
How did the narrative turn out?
It was really cool! It’s the first narrative that I’ve ever been a part of and the story was very interesting! Tyranids ended up “winning” if you could really call causing a Necron ship to implode winning.
…causing a Necron ship to implode with you on it…
You’ve got some great looking models, would you be unopposed to maybe creating a forum thread and sharing some more pictures of them?
I started a forum simply titled “My Ulthwe Eldar” and I’ll post more as I can.
Edit: Stupid bugs.
I was thinking about starting a thread showcasing them, but I need to take some nice photos of them first which will take me a bit of time to get done around my work schedule.
I’ll see if I can get some photographed tomorrow and posted.
