Guards of Atlantis Surfaces on Kickstarter from Woiff Designa
February 5, 2015 by deltagamegirl22
Wolff Designa has launched their Kickstarter for their miniatures based skirmish game, Guards of Atlantis.
In this game you get two introductory factions, the Steam Guild and the Dark Alpha Kingdom. There is a report that there are other factions to follow as this game progresses. In the game you get 5 miniatures for each faction in the 70mm scale and the game is played on a hex board.
The hex board itself comes in three parts that can be interchanged according to the scenario being played and is also double-sided. The background story is that the Steam Guild are the children of Atlantis and are very technology advanced, while the Dark Alpha Kingdom is grounded in magic.
In regards to the tabletop playing surface as stated previously, the game board is hex based and with this in mind so is the terrain that can be added to the game. Another option for this game is that you can get the miniatures either unassembled and unpainted or choose to have them fully assembled and painted (for an extra cost) to your door. There are a couple of nice videos on the Kickstarter site about the game and how it plays. You might want to take a look at this if you are into Steampunk games, I find the scale interesting myself.
Would this game interest you?

They do look rather nice, but still has a 40k dark eldar vibe and IG vibe between the factions. Give them props for going 70mm scale as it is unique.
Looked at the KS and its fantasy, not sci-fi. Have no idea why I thought it was sci-fi but some factions look rather unique in style.
Those are rather impressive. Also I am liking style that those have.
Great looking hugies (well they are not exactly small, are they?)
