New Gribbly Preview for Firestorm Armada
September 24, 2011 by brennon
Check out this crazy and quite frankly monstrous vessel for Spartan Games' Firestorm Armada...
This ship, the Aquan Medusa Class Dreadnought is one hell of an interesting piece. A multi-part resin and pewter model, it should look pretty snazzy on your gaming table. Some great detail as always, let's hope it carries onto the finished product. See some more images of the vessel below...
Any of you folks interested in this new preview from Firestorm Aramada?
Maybe some of you are interstellar admirals already!

Um… ya?
Iadmire the amount of work that whent into it. But its just not doing it for me. Sorry.
If it was big enough, I’d probably convert it into a mycetic spore.
That reminds me of Babylon 5. It really has a alien feel to it.
This is a lot more ornate than the Aquan battle carrier but still works within the fleet. I like it.
If more of the ships, or rather whole fleets, were more like this I would be far more interested in the game.
Don’t get me wrong the models for the game are nice enough but they are very much a certain style of scifi space ship, pretty much all being flat/smooth and geometric and I find that a little boring.
This on the other hand is far more my style with lots of things going on and an alien/high tech feel to it rather than scifi minimalism.
Don’t get to play the game much but i do enjoy the models, (as per my avatar!)
This piece looks amazing! I would love to see more, larger ships with more detailing like this one.
I really like the ships so far and the game mechanics are spot on. We play at least 2-3 games a week of Firestorm Armada and its really taking off at my LGC, about 10 players now with fleets to go up against. I would however be more impressed with spartan games if these previews for all the bigger class ships over the last few months were available to purchase. As it is, I’m getting bored of waiting now… and my money is going on other ship models from other suppliers as proxies. Pull your finger out Spartan, and get… Read more »
Just back from the coast where 30 cm jellyfish ruined the last few days of swim.
This one looks prettier.
